How to submit:

Send your submissions or submission links to contest@nerdyshow.com. For YouTube videos be sure to include “nerdy show” in the tags and label it as “Nerdy Show Dungeons & Doritos Fan Love Contest”. E-mail us from an account you actually check and include your handle and mailing address in your e-mail – these prizes ain’t gonna mail themselves.

All submissions must be made during the duration of this contest (June 27th-August 12th, 2012) and must be original works or within the scope of parody. Any submissions found to be otherwise will be disqualified. Nerdy Show reserves the right to repost or redistribute any content submitted to contest, that we might spread the fan love.

If you have any questions or want to share your submissions post on the D&D fan love forum thread. You can also e-mail questions to info@nerdyshow.com.

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT? We’ll accept any medium – stories, art, songs… Draw us a a comic, write some fanfic, make a low-budget fan film, recreate scenes in LEGOs, Minecraft, crochet… ANYTHING. Just show your favorite Doritodonians some love.

WHERE SHOULD I GO FOR IDEAS? Check out the D&D page for all our episodes, and be sure to have a look at the character bio page!  Beyond that – use your imagination and ingenuity! Remember-The look of the characters that we use in the comics and promotional images is not the only way to interpret them visually. The way Tony draws the D&D crew isn’t necessarily how Cap or Local-Shop draw them, etc. etc. Don’t feel confined to our reoccurring character models.

I’VE SUBMITTED FAN LOVE BEFORE – CAN I RESUBMIT? You’re amazing and we love you, but this fan love contest is just for new material. However, when we get forum badges working you’ll be retroactively awarded for past submissions.

CAN I SUBMIT MULTIPLE ITEMS? Yes! But keep in mind – only one can win! Just one winning piece of fan love per-person (we’ll pick the best). If you’ve got limited time for your projects it’s probably best to just devote all your time to doing one exceptional project.

WHAT ABOUT COLLABORATIONS? If yourself and another fan are collaborating on a fan love project you’ll both be given the prizes and special arrangements may be made (but are not guaranteed). You MUST choose a team leader to be the primary point of contact for Nerdy Show.  We’ll only send prizes to one address per entry and after that it’s up to the team leader to divvy them out.

WHAT ABOUT COMMISSIONED ART? Some people are professional patrons of the arts. We’ll accept artwork drawn by commission so long as the D&D fan submitting can prove that project was his or her concept. For that we’ll need to see copies of the correspondence between yourself and the artist.

WILL YOU BE DOING REGULAR D&D FAN LOVE CONTESTS? This is our first one – so we don’t know! If we do another it’s likely to be a yearly thing. We may also structure these differently in the future to include all fan love sent in after this contest –  so it’s always a good time to send in fan love!

WHAT ABOUT SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES? If you have a question about your entry e-mail info@nerdyshow.com with the subject “fan love question” before you submit your entry.
