Beginning next week, The Nerdy Show Network is going on an endless bender. Please welcome Friday Night Fanfiction – the drunken fanfic podcast you’ve been waiting for!
Friday Night Fanfiction is an interactive podcast series where terrible fanfiction readings become a potent drinking game. They go tackle nightmares your parents didn’t even think to warn you away from: erotic, exotic, horribly-written, and thoroughly NSFW fanfics from all corners of the nerd world – video games, sci-fi, anime, comic books, and trite pop culture. If they laugh, mis-read, break the mood, or loose composure they punish/ reward themselves by taking a swig of whatever is on hand.
Longtime listeners of the Nerdy Show might recognize the voices of Stevo, David, Logan, Valerie, Roy, and the rest of the Nighthorse crew who began their fanfic quest on OverClocked After Dark. Way back in 2010, we first joined them in reading the notorious mother of all bad fanfics “My Immortal”. Since then they’ve turned their binge drinking fanfic reads into an art form, and we’re stoked to bring the pain to Nerdy Show.
