Nerdy Show & OCAD – Drunken Podcast Month :: FINALE
The Drunken Podcasting Month finale! Bye-bye drinky boozeahol September, it’s been fun, and you were awful in bed, but I love you. If you missed out on this month-long bender, schlep on over to part 1 here, part 2 over this way and part 3 up your butt and around the corner.
Now that the fanfic has been read, what the heck is this episode all about? Well, how about a sentimental message from Stevo telling you? Sure thing, here it is:
Well, here it is, folks. It’s been one hell of a month. We actually wrap things up semi-seriously with some in-depth comic book and game discussion. We were all quite trashed and drained by this point, but there are still laughs. The Nerdy Show bros are true bros indeed, and we welcome every chance we get to chit-chat with them.
The only thing that could have made this more fun would have been to be there in person with them, drinking and debating, reading fanfic and failing at side-scrollers from the 16-bit era. We hope you’ve had as much fun listening to it as we did recording it (yes, I did just use a 5th grade writing technique. Fuck off.)
At this point I’d like to announce that something wonderful has happened: we’ve had our site host costs increased per month. Now, I know what you’re thinking: Stevo, how can this be a good thing? It’s more money! Well, the reason we have to pay more is because our bandwidth has skyrocketed. In august alone, we did almost 2 TB’s of transfers. Even if everyone was just getting our videos, or My Immortal (unabridged), that’s still a heck of a lot of data. It’s been almost a year that we’ve been doing this show, and we’re nearing our anniversary. It’s very nice to see how much it has taken off since it started.
As we enter the Winter months, we will still be doing episodes. They may slow down a little simply because of time constraints, but we will be continuing to bring you all the mixes from thasauce, OLR, DoD, and OC ReMix. Sorry, bit of a tear in my eye, just enjoy the episode…

I must say, this September was most enjoyable, in no small part due to the amazing Drunken Podcast Month. The Doomsday Womb reading was all-around awesome, and the video-game discussion somehow retained quality, even when dissolved in copious amounts of alcohol. The OCAD boys feel like part of the family by now, and well… You finally got to talk about Blackest Night, eh? While I’m not into comic books at all(Watchmen, Kick-Ass, Preacher and that’s it.), I remember the very first Nerdy Show episode I listened to was about it, and you kept on right up until Brightest Day. Who knows? I might just pick it up, after hearing so many good things about it.
You mentioned the Teen Titans trade paperbacks in this episode and how good they were, and I have to agree. They really got me back into comics, and I wish more series were as well collected. I would buy them in a heart beat and be a poor man. But happy. And DC would be rich.
