Dungeons & Doritos :: Trial on the Isle of Mages
Emotional turmoil on the high seas! The vile Tiefling Jen’Ifer has vanished, sending the lovelorn Jamela into a frenzy of woe. Barty has been burned, both literally and figuratively by members of the group, Chair is in a seasick stupor, the mysterious Robert is dubious of his strange companions, Vimak and Lefty, pirate-Queen of Corney Island are caught in the middle – and that’s not even the half of it!
The adventurers find themselves on The Isle of Mages, a city of silver towers, teeming with luxury and magicks. How will the rugged travelers fair in posh surroundings, where their every need is tended to? What’s more, how will they be judged by the most powerful magic-users in all of Doritodonia, and will Jen’Ifer be returned?
Special thanks to Jonna for providing additional voice work!

Behold: ART!
For this month’s episode of Dungeons & Doritos, Tony brought Cap’s episode art idea to life, parodying a famous album cover (click here to see it full-sized). For this episode’s accompanying illustration, local-shop has drawn a tearful seen of the lovelorn Jamela being comforted by her new gal-pal Lefty.

Yeahah, Enya for the Isle of Mages! Awesome music choice! Props for Secret of Mana music, too.
Heh, typical Chair antics. Gotta love that dwarven substance endurance.
Looks like the party will have some encounters with golems next time. Looking forward to it!
pre-ordered the dungeons and doritos dice for the win!
Was the Alchemist’s Guildmaster meant to resemble Snidely Whiplash? Because he totally does.
Love the Guild Wars music by Jeremy Soule.
Only a week late! I am so very proud!!!
Just a minor comment; Barty’s character sheet is 404’ing.
@Ghouleh
Fixed!
And- I’m really glad everyone’s into the music selections so far!
Right! Listened to it all. And GODDAMN CLIFFHANGER.
The music was spot-on, however. Also, is it me or our dear Dungeon Master is stuttering a bit on his speech whenever he does an NPC?
Is Chair still going to die of smallpox at level 5?
@spudwalt Did uh… did we establish that somewhere? I don’t even remember that!
@Cap
in Episode 3 (about 43 minutes in) Chair eats some dirt because… well he’s Chair. The DM points out that since he is new to the world he has no natural immunities.
So.. if you kill him with smallpox does that mean that he can come back in spectral form riding wolf-bear? Let’s be honest he is already sort of like a pet to Vimak. Plus I like the idea of him haunting Jen’Ifer for all eternity.
I do have to say one thing.. Chair does technically have clothing. He has the bear rug and the sunglasses. He could pass for a non-slave easily with those alone.. unless he lost them.
@Soul
The bear rug was lost a long time ago. We mentioned it somewhere… can’t remember where, possibly a regular Nerdy Show episode. With the sunglasses, Jen’Ifer either took them back at some point and they’re trapped with him, or they got washed away in the havoc of making it to Corney Island since they weren’t mentioned afterwards. Interestingly, Chair didn’t really grasp the concept of what the glasses were or how they worked when messing with the sunglasses, as you’ll see in the next episode.
I’m loving the Buckaroo Banzai music that was pretty awesome.
