Nerdy Show Microsode: Board Games & Loaded Dice
When The Nerdy Show Network’s flagship podcast isn’t unloading on the latest geek news and happenings, we’re diving deep into super-specific discussions and interviews.
The Nerdy Show crew has gathered for another rowdy round of gaming discussion, but this time we’re not talking about roleplaying or vicious Magic the Gathering battles… This time we’re unfolding one of the nuanced corners of tabletop: the board game. From the weird novelty games of our youths, to the adult thrills of historical economics and geopolitics, the scope of tabletop gaming outside the roleplaying realm is expansive. Good thing this Microsode is double-length!
Cap, Doug, Colin, and Wicked Anime‘s Jonathan are joined by our old pal Hex who returns to Nerdy Show to share his new endeavor – his tabletop game design company, Screech Dragon, and their first public project: Loaded Dice. Hex takes puts his newfound “hexpertise” to the test as we share our favorite and most memorable board gaming experiences and discuss the medium in its myriad formats.
Thanks to Jacob Niese and Direwolf for this Microsode request!

What if for the d20 pint you make an alternate glass with the numbers positioned more randomly, but have low numbers next to highs, like on a dartboard? High risk but high (potential) reward? Of course you still have majority of the lows up high on the glass and vice versa.
