Nerdy Show 270 :: Mayonnaise Hole Fundamentals

Posted by NerdyShow on August 24, 2016

ep270The Nerdy Show Network’s flagship podcast unloads on the latest geek news and happenings!

You can find a lot of life lessons in mayonnaise hole. Sometimes you lean in so close you’d swear you’d snap in two, and the dang mayonnaise just won’t sheath the hole. But you keep leanin’! You lean until you sink that mayo – because you know nothing worth fighting for in this world is easy. And then there’s trust. A good fisher ain’t worth a damn without an anchor to back them up. Ah hell, I’m gettin’ ahead of myself…

Join Cap, boR, Nicky and Brandon for an odyssey into our peculiar nerd lives and the plethora of pop culture we’ve consumed. We share our thoughts on the pilot for a new live action adaptation of the comic book classic: The Tick. We weigh the experience vs. the controversy of the galaxy-wandering game, No Man’s Sky. We give our two cents on Laika’s latest stop motion feature, Kubo and the Two Strings. We pitch ad slogans for undergarments made out of spider webs, hunt for bat nipples, give Carrot Top a movie idea, and yes, Cap finally talks about Camp Fangamer 2016 – the strange adventures therein, and the birth of the 21st century’s #1 sport: mayonnaise hole.

I’ve been out of the loop for awhile, but I was wondering if Hex is still around?

    • Hex is still around, but he’s moved on from Nerdy Show to a life of fatherhood and tabletop game design. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t visit from time to time. He last showed up in a Microsode where we revisited Season 1 of Nerdy Show: http://nerdyshow.com/2016/02/nerdy-show-249-season-1-retcon/ and he’ll be guest hosting on an episode coming out Sept 14th!

Oh woah! Congrats to him! Sad to hear he’s moved on, but all the best for him.
So what does that mean for D&D and Pokeballs?

        • He’s still on D&D, though if you listen to the last episode, “Run Away”, Vimak has a direction that’s going to put him apart from the rest of the team for a bit. As for Pokeballs, Trench (formerly a power fan, now our community manager) is taking over GMing. We’re pretty deep into pre-production for that, but it’s been a challenge because the fan-made system still left much to be desired and went through a major overhaul, so we’ve been both adapting the new (better) system to what we had already and modifying that system so it plays better for our needs.
