The Real Congregation :: “Found Sound: Backward Masking Unmasked” :: 4/2/13
On this special episode of The Real Congregation, Marc With a C presents some “found sound” in the form of a strange little cassette found in a thrift store called Backward Masking Unmasked. The cassette is a recording of a radio show from the early eighties, in the midst of a craze that was sweeping the nation: playing rock records backwards in order to find hidden satanic messages.
Marc gives a bit of information as to why the tape is so personally fascinating to him, and then the cassette is played in it’s entirety. It’s a bit of a nod to the days when rock music was powerful enough to be seen as a genuine threat to the youth of America. Come along for the ride!

Hell’s Bells. LMAO. That was great.
Also, “Casting Satan out of my bookbag”. Brilliant.
Holy crap. (Pun intended). “If you deny that, you probably believe in Evolution, another fairy tale!” Wow.
I actually heard this recording back in the mid 90s, a friend found a tape in his grandmother’s home. Flashback time
