We’ve been putting out these full length podcast videos for a couple months now, and I’ve been trying to improve them as much as possible, learning each time.
Do any of you watch them? Have you tried sharing Nerdy Show with the uninitiated this way? Did you notice you can skip to individual discussions with a click in the description? Would you prefer shorter video clips? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?
I’ve pressed play on the video instead of the Soundcloud player twice or thrice, though not to actually sit down and watch the video intently. But it at least allows me the option to go back to the tab and watch you guys talk in case I feel it is getting particularly interesting or some such.
But improving upon it? I don’t know… Have the links that are usually only on the episode page pop up in the video as they’re being talked about so they can be clicked on and followed right then and there? Or if you’re talking about a particular picture have it be in the middle of the screen? That could make it easier for people who are watching on youtube proper to easily follow along.
I watch stuff on youtube regularly so it’s cool to be able to experience Nerdy Show in video format. I went back to watch the portion of the episode where Brandon lies about the fake meat thing so I could see everyone’s reactions. I didn’t think to look in the description for shortcuts to individual segments, but I like that feature. Not sure I have any ideas to make it better though.
