IT’S RPG MONTH! We’re releasing episodes themed around tabletop roleplaying, hosting an RPG podcast panel at MegaCon, and now that Call of Cthulhu is recorded, holding a NEW RPG $upport drive where YOU choose the next system we play. Find out how to get involved here: https://nerdyshow.com/support-the-show-rpg/

World of Darkness is the classic RPG system for creatures of the night! I know, I know, here at Nerdy Show we’re all about saying “No Fangs” but sometimes don’t you want to give in to the dark side? Whether it’s the classic systems Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, Dark Ages, or newer spins on the classics such as Vampire: The Requiem, Mummy: The Curse, or Demon: The Descent – there’s a lot of brooding spooking to get up to! We could form our own Monster Squad! Or at the very least get some limited-time breakfast cereal action. For more about World of Darkness, go here: http://theonyxpath.com/games/wod/

Have an idea of what system we should devote our attention to? Want to make sure we mix and match creatures? Did you watch the live action VtM show during the 90s? This is the place to haunt!

I am going to put in a vote against Mage: the awakening. While the overall world is pretty cool, we came across some really crippling inconsistencies with the way the magic was implemented. I hear better things about the other systems though.

I don’t know much about it, but Mummy: The Resurrection sounds pretty cool. And no, I’m not partial to it just because of the name. I just think mummies are a little under-appreciated nowadays.
