ParticipantI know all you Floridians are super keen on the idea of making snowpersuns and letting the kids have a day or two off school to play in the snow.
In co-operation with the American Mid-West, Canadians are doing what we can to send snow all the way into the southern reaches of Florida.
Keep hoping. You may yet be able to make snowpersuns in front of A Comic Shop.Seriously though, how has everyone else been doing with the weather lately?

ParticipantMaryland has supposedly been colder than Alaska, recently, so there’s that.

ParticipantI remember when it actually snowed regularly in Vancouver. Oh ye olden days of less than a decade ago.
Guess who, it's Kaosubaloo!

Participantwell rain would be nice. and cooler weather. Its been in the 80’s but it might get to the high 60’s by the end of the week. Other than that not much to complain about out here in Southern California

ParticipantGot some -20 celsius weather last week (whats that in ye olde medievaly speek, -4 fahrenheit? I dunno), which is nice since the whole winter has been awfully warm.
Didn’t get any aurora borealis this time despite the weather forecast promising some, but at least some light pillars showed up which was pretty.

ModeratorLeft Kansas for Florida, and apparently the cold tried to follow me.

ParticipantSpent most of the last week south of the tropic of cancer, and I didn’t want to come back. Especially since it turns out the pipes in my house froze.

ParticipantSouthern Oregon has been unseasonably warm, usually the highs are not in the 70s. I don’t expect it to last.

InactiveIt is almost as though the world froze the moment I flew to Japan.
Tennessee has some unusual snow (it is actually sticking on the ground)Japan just has some strong winds and temperatures in the 40’s F.
Much better than the 2 degree nights back home.January 29, 2014 at 3:51 pm #36758Kaymonstar

ParticipantFirst week of January saw extreme cold weather in my state of Iowa
-20 Farenheit with a -50 windchill.
that’s a -45 Celcius windchill.
So yeah. It’s pretty cold here right now.
Now where did I put that invisible tower again?

ParticipantSounds like folks in Iowa know what they’re doing. The high school kids in my region have missed a week of school and may end up cancelling exams at some locations so that they can begin second semester classes without delays.
