What are you playing?

Well, in hopes of not stirring an even bigger shitstorm, Mass Effect 3’s extended cut will be free, as all multiplayer DLCs been so far(they are surprisingly awesome. It’s sad that so many people, including me, raged about the multiplayer, when it is leagues better than the singleplayer).
Okay, let me level with you for a second. Every single Dragon Age trailer ever made is absolute and utter garbage. They are so, so bad that I didn’t want to play Dragon Age Origins until years after because, by the trailers, I thought it was going to be some sort of Final Fantasy clone. Not even joking. The game itself is the second-best medieval RPG I have ever played(losing only to The Witcher 2). Dragon Age 2 was… Bad, but trust me when I say that Origins is, in one word, stellar. Also you can’t hump dwarves. But you BE a dwarf. And hump. Or get humped. Whatever. The point is, never judge a game, or movie, by their trailers. Dragon Age 2 was, hilariously, the other side of the coin. The trailer is badass. The game, not so much.

Well, surprising. Also, didn’t you have to pay for your weapons in multiplayer?
As for The Witcher 2, I never expected those games to be such a hit. Mostly cause I knew of the original series through my wife, before the first game came out and I figured since the series is relatively unknown and goofy no one would touch the games either.May 30, 2012 at 7:17 am #23226frozentreasureParticipant

The way ME3’s multiplayer works is that you gain credits after every battle. You can then spend it on “booster packs” which net you things like one-use consumable items, weapon upgrades, and a chance of a rare drop such as a new race, class or weapon. You CAN buy these packs with real money, but doing so through in-game credits is just as viable.
The Witcher games are something of an aberration. No studio with sense in their head would agree to make those games, much less release a metric ton of content for them, absolutely free and with no DRM.
Then again, the guys at CD Projekt are Polish.

Yep, and witcher is extremely popular in Poland, spanning tons of books (about boning disney princesses as far as I’ve understood), a horrid movie and a horrid tv series. I guess they planned on relying on domestic sales.June 1, 2012 at 3:00 pm #23350Gen DoukeshiParticipant
I just finished playing Recettear for my youtube channel (took long enough @.@). Next week I start Sonic Generations (excited!) But this weekend Worms Reloaded is free on Steam, so I’m diving into that tonight with friends. Also on and off I’m playing League of Legends and Offspring Fling! Good stuff =3
