WE get to name a song on the new Casper & The Cookies album! Deliberate here!

Yes, that’s right. An exclusive thing for Nerdy Show/Real Congregation fans! Here’s the story:
Casper & The Cookies are an amazing band from Athens, GA (featuring ex-members from Of Montreal and The Late BP Helium, as well as current members of Supercluster… and you’ll probably recognize Jason Nesmith from his appearance on The Real Congregation’s Frank Zappa episodes). They’re drumming up support for their new album, Dingbats, and on the upcoming episode of The Real Congregation, we’ve got the honor of premiering a track from that new record. It’s a killer. But… the song doesn’t have a name! That’s where we come in.
It’s up to US, the Nerdy Show contingent, to come up with an awesome title for this song. The title will be printed on the LP sleeves and will live on throughout the universe in perpetuity.
Our deadline for coming up with the song title is December 17th, 2012. The way this should probably go is once you’ve heard the song on the new episode, come to this here post, make a suggestion for a title, and we’ll deliberate until we come up with a general consensus of a forum favorite.
The band has done this type of thing in the past, and the song ended up being named “Barking In The Garden Of Ill Repute”. The sky is the limit here. How awesome is this? Are you excited?December 11, 2012 at 3:24 am #27944
The episode just went live, so, go and listen to the song!
Remember, we only have until December 17th to deliberate!December 12, 2012 at 3:22 pm #27979BertoElConParticipant
I just listened to the song (and episode), and I’m thinking maybe something about the cycle of life and drums. But, nothing specific is coming to mind as a good name.

“Cycle Of Life And Drums”.
There’s one vote. Blam.December 12, 2012 at 4:47 pm #27981MaxParticipant
I know you were all “Don’t suggest One More Time,” but all I could think of hearing the song was my old college Spanish teacher saying: “¡Una ves mas!” When she wanted us to repeat vocab words. Any way we could hear the track outside the context of the episode? It would help to be able to live with it a little bit I think.December 12, 2012 at 7:03 pm #27982AshleyParticipant
I listened to the song a couple of times, and to me two lines stuck out that I think it’d be nice to see as the title “Far away from each other” and “Mistakes to make” also, I think this one because it’s how I’d like to see the song “In front of everyone”
I registered here just to say thatDecember 12, 2012 at 7:14 pm #27983CosmicParticipant
Well, if we don’t want to call it One More Time we could just title the song something kinda self-aware like:
“This Song Was Named by the Church” or, failing that, “Not a Daft Punk Reference”.
Yeah, I suck at naming things.December 13, 2012 at 3:52 pm #28004
Consolidating the list, so far:
“Cycle Of Life and Drums”
“¡Una ves mas!”
“Far Away From Each Other”
“Mistakes To Make”
“Not A Daft Punk Reference”
“In Front Of Everyone”
“This Song Was Named By The Church”
Any other suggestions? We have but four more days to come to a decision!
For what it’s worth, if I had to choose one from the list right now, I’d probably go with “¡Una ves mas!”December 16, 2012 at 12:13 pm #28056
Tomorrow, (Monday), is the last day for suggestions, so if you’ve got a title that you’d like to submit for consideration, this is pretty much your last chance!
If we’ve not deliberated on one favorite name, I’m just going to ship the list of suggestions off to Casper & The COokies and hope that they’ll choose their favorite from the list.December 16, 2012 at 1:12 pm #28057December 16, 2012 at 2:02 pm #28058twomperParticipant
I came to suggest the name “Penultimatum”, but I really like “Improvvisamente ardito” (Suddenly Bold). So that’s where I cast my vote.
This song is fantastic. I think I’m a Casper and the Cookies fan now.December 16, 2012 at 2:05 pm #28059twomperParticipant

I want to change my vote to one of the non-English ones, either “¡Una ves mas!” or “Improvvisamente ardito”.
