ParticipantSo, my technical incompetence is over Five-THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND, and, for some reason, I’ve been completely unable to download the nerdy show to my iTunes or iPod.
Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Presume complete incompetence, and you’ll do well when talking to me. ๐
I’ve tried both the

Searching “nerdy show” under the Apple iTunes store yields the following results:

Adding “the” in front doesn’t change anything, and making it one word “nerdyshow” (with or without the “the”) yields nothing.
Tooling around with my iTunes doesn’t work at all, either (I actually have no idea how to use it… as I said, presuming “incompetence” and use small words).
So… any ideas?

ParticipantBy the way, the black, blank “download” page with the play button… doesn’t work.
It looks exactly like the normal players you’d use to listen to the show in your browser, but it doesn’t respond to anything.

KeymasterWow man, I’ve never heard of that problem. “Nerdy Show” in iTunes gets you to the right pages for me. Anyone else experienced this?

ParticipantMarc: that works perfectly! Thanks! ๐
There are a total of 52 items there. My plan was to acquire all of the Dungeon and Doritos episodes so that we didn’t have to worry about the random crashes nerdyshow.com seems to be undergoing for now. Is such a thing remotely possible?Cap: I honestly don’t know! ๐
I literally copy/pasted the full elements of the three options I found. I don’t think it’s a Chrome thing… hold on, let me check.Welp, the “download” link and [mp3 audio] both function normally (using quicktime, though I still can’t put anything on my computer) in Firefox.
It also works in Internet Explorer (related: ugh, E-Explorer sucks as a browser. I’d forgotten.), though it claims to be loading for the last three minutes…So it may be a Google Chrome issue. I wonder if that’s at all related to some of the other problems I’m having with the site and forums lately?

ParticipantAn interesting thing to note is that, when I look for “Masked Justice” in iTunes, it brings up the Nerdy Show channel, however it doesn’t bring up that episode.
EDIT: because I wasn’t clear

ModeratorYeah, I’ve been having problems downloading episodes in Chrome as well. It seems to work just fine in Firefox, so no biggie.

ParticipantThere seems to be some incompatibility between Chrome and the PodPress tracking plugin. I have hacked up a Feed43 filter to bypass the problem, but it’ll probably fail next time they update anything on their server.

A possibly related problem, Nerdy Show mp3s are reporting a length of 0m 1s in some players, such as Audacious. They play well enough, but it disables use of the progress bar, which makes returning to a show halfway through kinda tricky.
