ParticipantIDW is doing a Turtles/ Ghostbusters crossover! Written and drawn the guys who wrote the ongoing for years (before that was sadly cancelled 🙁 )
Who’s excited?

…The Ghostbusters ongoing was just discontinued (and who knows what’s going to happen with Fiegbusters in the works) and this GB/TMNT crossover will keep Burnham and his art team employed at least until the end of the year.
Couldn’t agree more! Here’s links to aid in the quest. Essential reads for ANY Ghostbusters fan.

KeymasterHaving the crossover happen via a dimensional rift was genius. Now the story is totally canonical (for either series) if you want it to be.

ParticipantI think I remember Burnham saying in an interview that he was lucky to get permission to include the crossover in the ongoing’s continuity. So this could be considered a consideration of the post-Mass Hysteria world, if you want it to be.
I thought it was great, considering all the pieces that needed to be moved into place. The Ghostbusters just HAPPENING to show up the very instant some people need exorcisms is a little convenient, but who cares? We’ve got possessed humans to punch AND giant ghost gods to bust. Best of both worlds.

No more Ghostbusters comics after the cross over? That makes me sad.

ParticipantWelcome to how I feel. 🙁 It was cancelled really suddenly too. Nobody was ready for it to end.
It was probably a licensing thing, since Sony’s been swearing they were making GB3 in Spring of 2015 for a while now and seem determined as hell to keep to that, so this might be clearing the deck for the next film. But with the new movie being (for the moment) a totally new continuity, who knows if they are going to stick to that plan.
So there’s a SMALL CHANCE that this hiatus will be temporary… but I know I don’t want to jinx it. So…maybe this IS all the BurnhamBusters we’re gonna get. 🙁
Another reason to go buy the crossover: to let IDW know the fans still want this.

KeymasterHey all! The series has ended and is being collected soon! It was a great ride and looks like it’s being treated as fully canonical for both series. If you didn’t pick up the issues, here’s the collection:
