The first thing i am bringing up is after listening to the show I turned on nerdy fm and heard zombie t-rex and that reminded me of dresden files. Urban fantasy but could be considered science fantasy because the character does go into the science of magic. He ends up riding an undead t-rex in a book

    Other examples
    All of palladium rpg stories
    Shadowrun rpg
An old cartoon called flight of dragons that brings up how man is forgetting magic in leu of science

All very solid examples. Urban Fantasy… we totally should’ve mentioned that.
Colin and I watched Flight of Dragons on VHS back in the day. That was the last place I expected a Don McLean song…

For me, Science Fantasy was always where I lumped in:
    1) Science Fiction by authors who pre-date “the research”
    2) Science Fiction authors weren’t equipped to, or who couldn’t be bothered to “do the research”
