Sounds like there are rumors Hayden Christiansen will somehow be appearing in Ep VII. Also one of those fancy 3d pan around video trailers showing off some sort of speeder run through Jakku came out:
Edit: we tried to run that video, which lives on facebook, on our Occulus v2 dev kit at the office, and it doesn’t seem to be natively supported. I’m told that if you watch it on your phone, you can wave it around in the air to see what is happening but haven’t tried that yet.

Anyone else seen the “new” crazy theory going around?
I remember @doug saying Jar-Jar was probably force-sensitive before, but this is some crazy detail.

Eh this has been kicking around my brain for the last week or two so I figure I’ll get it out here. Star wars recipe idea:
Darth Vader coffee jello jigglers taste the power of the Dark Side.

@bertoelcon oh man, I’m so sick of seeing that story in my feed. Yeah, Jar Jar is force sensitive, but an evil mastermind he is not. His good nature isn’t just some “act” to get ahead, because he doesn’t want (or get) anything! He’s evil to what end?! To become a low level senator? In a republic that votes to dissolve itself? Jar Jar got a fair shake in the EU. C’mon people. It’s time to look beyond the terrible framing and weird direction of TPM, and start looking at what the character SAYS and DOES versus trying to interpret the “meaning” of an action scene frame by frame.

Every time that shows up in my feed, it gets replied to with a link to Hard Truths With @doug. I tried to read it, but he lost me when he started talking about Drunken Fist as if it were a real Shaolin martial art, and not created by Jackie Chan for a movie.November 16, 2015 at 11:15 am #50578

Star Wars: Battlefront raking in those mediocre reviews:

New tv spot for Force Awakens featuring some decidedly different art direction on the weaponry. Han Solo passing off a brushed nickel blaster to Rey that is shaped kind of like a small Smith & Wesson .357 instead of the classic black DL-44 Blastech that was Mauser based. Also some storm trooper having a light saber duel with a chrome staff thing against Finn. Not sure yet how I feel about these developments. Also of note is Red Arm C-3P0 in the conference sequence towards the end:

Found a better picture of that prop, I may have…jumped the gun.
What I thought it looked like in the trailer:
what the prop actually looks like, with a definite broom-handle:

There’s a lot of new and unique looking weapons and props in this movie. That pistol is in the gallery they released for TFA. It’s in the third row from the bottom.

I was on board with the new stuff in that gallery right up until I hit the bone-gun with the bone handle and bone shiv bayonet… that is something I’ll have to see in context I think.
and this one, which seems to be some kind of bone-derbus with features that don’t jive with blaster weaponry like the ramrod under the barrel:
Also this blaster with what appears to be a clear acrylic silencer/compensator on it seems like a dubious choice out of context:

Star Wars 1313 concept art gallery, with a blurb from Kathleen Kennedy that they want to cherry pick material from that and Underworld for future projects:
