So Minecraft mapping has clearly come a long, long, seriously long way from back when pretty much anything would crash trying to render the original SOA (although I can’t really blame them, some of you may remember that somebody decided to go run off for ever in one direction throwing the entire map off in the first place, I have checked today and discovered that the user actually went out to -100,000 by 100,000 i.e. 100km from spawn). Anyway, as can be seen in the Rails thread, we have mapping up and running and as such it is now time to let everyone see them. So the port is 13375, for those of you who have no clue what that means, you’d take the server ip (as in xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and then you’d add :13375 to the end, so something like ‘xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:13375’ ), then all you need to do is type that into your favorite web browser and ta da, Google like maps. Have fun out there!
Quick question, as per a couple posts in another thread, the map seems to be non-functional (yes, I have changed my bookmark to the current IP of the server). Is the thing still running, or has a ‘recent’ update or two killed it?
