    Hello Nerdy show gang.

This is Armadon, once and advid listener to causal observer.

For the past 5 years i have been bothered by the subjugation of the word nerd being mixed in with things like fantasy, superheroes, sci-fi, ect.

Once upon a time people labeled Nerd by more socially excepted were into those topics because it took them into a world they could escape too.

In reality though “nerd” is someone who engrosses themselves with their studies or subjects they cared about. Often abandoning normal social contact except with other “nerds” they can relate too.
Nerd should no longer be a class all its own. It should be just be an adjective, only describing a person wholeheartedly chosing sudject over contact.

We, who are into what this network is all about, need to come up with another classification to what we represent.
And what we do we represent? Not the sujects of fantasy and sci-fi (i.e. robotics, space exploration, scientific breakthroughs) but a social class that looks beyond the mundane to the infinite of the human imagination.

And don’t misunderstand me i am still nerdy for comics, sci-fi, and games, they bring me joy. Sports announcers, reporters, and hardcore spectators who never once played the field but love the sports and the teams aren’t jocks. They’re sports nerds. People who design closes, care about what looks are in, and who are seemly Eccentric with the fabrics they craft, aren’t always models or the popular people whom cause trends because of their celebrity. They are clothing designing nerds. (Though they probably have a title I don’t know)

That’s really all i got for this. I am not a good writer nor can i defend this Thesis. I am just a nerdy person who wants trekkies, star wars sycophants , whoites, firefly fans, gamers (both tabletop and digital), and the like to have a new social class title

One which i can’t think of

“If you label me, you negate me.”

It sounds to me like you’re thinking of the word “Otaku”, everyone knows Nerd is an animal similar to Nerkle and the Seersucker.
