Glad you liked it, @pseery80! We kind of just recorded it on a whim. If enough people are interested, we’ll do more. At least Ghostbusters 2. Maybe do a “crossover” with @trench88 and @tony if they ever play the game on Twitch? That could be fun too.

The trench/Tony stream I am for. Haven’t played that game in a while but I remember it was fun, except for Peter getting the girl in the end, didn’t sit right with me. I always wanted to see 4 player action in that

I am wondering though about the peck shutting off the grid scene, now all of you expressed problems with the scene, as a writer do you feel the scene was forced drama.

I don’t feel like the scene was forced. Just that Peck was written “too evil” to be realistic. But hey, in a movie about ghosts taking over NY, that’s totally fine. If you just realize that the scene was about Peck trying to feel powerful after Venkman snubbed him, it starts to make more sense. He’s a baby throwing a tantrum. Not a government official just doing his job like Alan Freedman (GBR’s EPA/PCOC rep).

I’m all for it, and I’m Tony would be, but that’s gonna take some prep work to set up

An interesting thing about Peck is, he kind of HAD to be written (and acted) as a huge slime ball. If he wasn’t, you run the risk of the audience actually taking his side when it turns out he was right and they were wrong. And he WAS right, he was just wrong about how he was right…if that makes sense. Basically, this is a case of a guy who’s got all the correct instincts and information and uses them to come to the exact wrong conclusion. He wants to see the the containment grid because he thinks it’s unsafe. Peter refuses because…well… it IS unsafe. He knows Peck’s gonna take one look at the homemade nuclear laser cage machine in their basement and … do exactly what he ended up doing anyway. Say this much for Peck; he’s got instincts. He SMELLED something dangerous was going on, he just couldn’t understand what it was so he ended up making everything worse.

For what it’s worth, going from what Vinz Clortho said, I think the explosion was inevitable. If it hadn’t been Peck, something else would have blown the grid. It was one of the signs, so it was coming.

To paraphrase something Joss Whedon said, it doesn’t take someone who’s irredeemably evil to ruin your life forever. It’s enough if it’s someone who just doesn’t get it. Peck’s an obvious slime-ball, but he’s no monster, and he is legitimately doing what he believes is right.

And even if you are slimy, someone who can get a “Cease and desist all commerce order, seizure of premises and chattels, ban on use of public utilities for unauthorized waste handlers, and a federal entry and inspection order,” together that quickly kinda ROCKS at their job. Peck eats paperwork for breakfast. I hope Ray and Spengler got him to help them finally get those nuclear accelerators properly licensed…and hopefully, immediately have those patents and schematics classified in order to keep them away from the military contractors who’d LOVE to have anti-aircraft laser weapons and ghost bombs.

I’ve gotten such withdrawal from the season ending that I’ve let one of my fellow Atlanta-based Ghostbusters talk me into trying my hand at running a game. Keep your fingers (but not your streams) crossed!

I loved the shout-out to Georgia Ghostbusters: Metro and the announcement that we’re officially canon in your universe. Any time my podcast app shows a new update from GB Resurrection it’s like non-denominational-winter-gift-giving-holiday morning!

Keep us informed about your progress, Tank! 🙂 I agree we need more adventures set in this world. Lets fill the gaps until season 3 with other adventures! I has a hunger!

    Episode 17: Epilogue

After saving the world from the clutches of two very miffed European evils, the Central Florida Ghostbusters are eager to get Stateside. They head to New York to meet up with Ghostbusters HQ, debrief, and decompress. But there’s never a dull moment for the boys in beige – Briggs’ date is kidnapped in broad daylight! The Ghostbusters soon find themselves in very big trouble with little time to spare.

Keep an ear out at the end for a cameo voicemail by @tankhammer from the Atlanta Ghostbusters!

Another brilliant season and great epilogue @seven. I can’t wait to see what happens in the season 3 epilogue. My votes goes to them either getting a pet Mogwai or teaming up with the Monster Squad :p

Something I was wondering about; at the start of the session you said everyone had been having nightmares but something particular had happened to LaForge but we never got to hear what.

“Everyone is having nightmares and everyone is feeling kind of strange. One day you wake up and…..”

Did that ever come back up? Did I miss it or is it related to something that will still happen later?

    Thanks, @citizen-stu!

Yeah, La Forge’s nightmares lead up to him having his “PKE ability” also referred to as “Murphy’s Law.” He only used it a couple of times during the season.

The idea was that Season 1’s climax had an extreme PKE effect on one of the Ghostbusters. I told LaForge that he woke up one day, and could start noticing things that he hadn’t seen before. A sort of Sherlock Holmes power of observation or “sixth sense” in a way of seeing potential outcomes, then somehow causing them to happen. It’s not very specific, and it’s more likely to work with more mundane or routine things.

I just finished listening to the Epilogue of season 2, and I’m a little curious about something. When Central Florida Ghostbusters the original Boys in Grey, Spengler and Stantz are in the firehouse, and Zeddemore is out and about, but there was no mention of Venkman. Granted, he probably would have tried to romance Vivian at some point, but I’m still curious.

The guys cut me off before I could explain that Venkman was also out on “personal business.” But since they didn’t ask about him later, I didn’t have an opportunity to bring it up again. It’s cool though. Venkman is the only Ghostbuster they haven’t met so far, and that’s by design.

I love, love, love hearing my (horribly awkward, like what am I even doing? Is that supposed to be an accent!?) voice at the end of the podcast. I recorded that thing what seems to be around a year ago and it’s a real treat to hear it come back around.

Not sure where season 3 might go but I’m always available to pitch-in if you wanted any ongoing commentary on the Georgia Ghostbusters. You may have heard we’ve been trying to get a helicopter. If we are going to cameo in a campaign just know that we have two main ectomobiles, a Jeep wrangler called the Ecto-1J that’s based out of Macon and covers less densely-populated areas and a Scion XB called the Ecto Quick Response Unit which handles the Atlanta metro and other urban areas.

Our leaders are Chace Ambrose and Mitchell Brinkley III (see our Facebook page).

The Ecto QRU is driven by member Chris Sheetz.

Our business took a big upswing back in 2008 during a paranormal event leading up to the Atlanta Tornado Outbreak. Oakland Cemetary was the epicenter but despite some property damage we managed to contain the event, though local authorities and news agencies refused to believe it was anything but abnormal weather. After the event subsided things got very quiet until just after the 2012 Mayan incident in Florida when some sort of tear in reality sent paranormal shockwaves up through the southern US, apparently stirring-up the hornet’s nest again. It’s been a chore to get operations back into gear again but we make due with headquarters out of Atlanta and Macon.

As a side-note, Savannah doesn’t allow us to operate within city limits or surrounding towns. They have a good amount of tourism built around their various haunted inns and landmarks (bogus and legitimate) and have blockaded operations at every turn. Their local government and law enforcement is openly hostile to seeing our uniforms or ectomobiles even approaching the city. Macon is exactly the opposite, the mayor is a huge fan and the Ecto-1J can park anywhere in the city without worrying about getting a ticket, including on sidewalks. Atlanta basically lets business be business and really doesn’t care one way or another.

I’ll keep watch for a new season some day and in the meantime I’ll keep pointing people towards the podcast!
