    Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan get tapped by CBS with a condensed pitch of Schwartz’s three books, Via the AV Club
    Sounds like Gammel’s original illustrations will be used as inspiration rather than the new ones by Brett Helquist.

    Though it’s still early to tell, I hope they’ll make it work.

    I remember when I was a wee lad, getting these books from the scholastic book flyer they let you buy books from in Elementary school. The stories and the drawings stuck with me through the years. Funnily enough I was just looking up these books the other day, I wonder what the movie will be like.

    Melton and Dunstan have continued to evolve since Saw, it’ll be interesting how they pull this all together into something original.
