IGN, Kotaku, polygon and a few other sites are reporting that a sequel to Psychonauts is being crowdfunded on fig.co
Since I’ve been doing nothing but play sim-settlement in Fallout 4 for the past two weeks, could someone explain what is different about fig.co when compared to kickstarter? I just want to be sure that this isn’t something on the same tier as multi-level marketing.
I’ve been looking at it since I heard about it. The main feature of fig seems to be that it allows both the reward based crowdfunding as well as traditional profit sharing investment. It still requires funding to be met before the project receives any money but this way traditional investment can be counted toward the funding goal.
It looks legit to me and I am so throwing my money their way. Psychonauts is one of my favorite games and I’ve been wanting a sequel since I finished it. I’m glad they are aiming for what looks like a fairly reasonable budget for it as well. If they had been asking for a smaller amount I might have been more worried about the quality of the end project a bit more.
