ParticipantInland Empire Ghostbusters. First game despectered the Bracken Fern Manor in Lake Arrowhead, CA. My players and I are really enjoying this system. Its nice and straightforward and it allows for interesting adventures.
For the megladon I would give it a high ecto presence probably 6 or 7 depending on your players equipment. If they have boson darts or a dark matter generator I would make it higher. It depends on how you want to play him. His dentures give your players a nice juicy target to shoot at so if I were them I might blast is with everything I could. Its initial appearance would be terrifying but it would probably immediately draw everyone’s fire. It would be impressive as heck for a few rounds but would probably be capture-able pretty quickly. On the other hand if you went with something like Animate or Poltergeist you can make the teeth a threat while leaving your ghost free to make further mischief. If you go with the materialize route I would just have him materialize around the dentures and only give him enough power to keep your players spending 1 or 2 brownie points when dodging.

ParticipantHey I thought I throw myself into this. If it hasn’t been thought of already how about some “Slime Mines” that are tripped by a PKE level that the ghost busters can set. So far most of the equipment and weaponry is for when the ghost busters are being attacked. It might be neat to see some more subtle trapping. As for the flashlight, “Flash Mine” might also work, for when you want to get a bunch of ghosts all at once.
I was also thinking the Ghost AV Analyzer could use a more portable version. Maybe a head set and mic that let’s you freely converse with ghosts?
For the Megalodon I think a dry lake bed could be a cool alternate setting. That way you could have other ghost aquatic life while the busters run around behind trees and rocks. Just a thought.
My other name is Rosswell

ParticipantGood to see the Inland Empire in capable hands.
As for additional equipment maybe the Aural videon Analyzer portable could be like a real time Kirlian Camera, showing auras. I think it would need some kind of limitation or it will negate the AV analyzer card. Superseding it isn’t necessarily unforgivable but we just got the cards and I’d hate to make any of them redundant already. Still, I like the idea.

Inactive@Redmenace One thing that I would really like start pushing out is the availability of upgrade equipment. So we can start doing stuff with cooler things. Like the slime net, lets say that you can put one upgrade on a piece of equipment, like slime nets, that means you have a unique piece of equipment that benefits you in a specific way, but you wouldn’t be able to upgrade simultaneously to maybe more elastic slime, or something like that without first removing the slime net equipment upgrade. You could add an aura visual chip onto the ecto goggles, but it would have to be in lieu of another upgrade.
This is just a thought.

ParticipantI like that idea, it retains the specific role of equipment but makes them upgradeable. I get definetely get behind that.

ParticipantHow would you do it? A clear vinyl overlay that goes on the card or a token that you sit on the card?

ParticipantI received my franchise kits in Western Australia. Thanks! There weren’t any green D6s with them, though.

ParticipantI appreciate it. I thought that maybe the D6s for the two franchise kits might have shipped separately (since it’s 24 dice). I thought I’d mention it just in case. 🙂

KeymasterIt happened guys, we’ve sold out of our first run of cards! Thanks so much for the support everyone! We’re ordering a new run of cards and will have them in ASAP. Sign up below to get notified when they come back in stock! If you still haven’t picked yours up you can either watch this thread or shoot us your e-mail and we’ll let you know as soon as they’re back (we anticipate mid-November).
Obviously there’s demand for the original gear, but the more new voices we hear asking about new Special Equipment, the better. Support from this first batch has recouped the original production cost with a bit extra for us to put towards expanding the set, but we’re going to have to eat up that production cost again to print the new run of cards. If you want to see more, sound off here or, if you’re able, donate to the project and let us know you want more cards and more cool GBRPG stuff. The response to this project has been amazing and we’ve got a ton of ideas as to what we could do next, we just need to know that there’s a for-sure interest in more past the basic set.
We’re ready to believe you!
