So glad that these are out there finally! And guys I cannot stress this enough, but Doug, Cap & I have been talking about all kinds of extra resources for this. So PLEASE get as many people talking about this as possible, the more demand there is for it the more likely we will be able to keep content rolling out.October 13, 2014 at 11:02 am #42859BriggsParticipant
Huh, not sure if Doug would allow me to, I’d almost want to show up in a game that is being played online as the memorable and lovable Briggs. Just to see if anyone will let me hook my protonpack up to the grid.October 13, 2014 at 5:33 pm #42865
If we’re talking about our franchises, @Matasm was nice enough to do up this Ecto-Minivan for the Columbia Ghostbusters a while back.
Sorry if I posted this already.October 13, 2014 at 7:39 pm #42867DougKeymaster
@briggs, if some fans were nice enough to let you play with them, and you’d want to ruin their game by acting a fool, I wouldn’t stop you. But I damn sure won’t be as forgiving as when you’re with the main crew.

@briggs All future games would be post-apocolyptic. A lone surviving team of busters trying to reclaim the earth from the ghosts of the thousands upon thousands fallen. Having to avoid the cannibalistic Briggs Bands (not sure if they want to eat him or worship him, but they sure don’t like the uniform).October 13, 2014 at 8:54 pm #42874
Don’t worry Briggs you will always have a place in my Franchise. I have 2 rule lawyers, a door smasher, a flake, backstabber, and very kind but stern GM (me). i welcome all that can add to the fun and survive.
As for the Proton pack, you can be lead the tutorial at my GBHQ, and show them all how to install a proton back as a back up generator.
(word to Doug, might have to restart a new franchise soon)
Sooooo Mijder…when can we be expecting to see those Briggs Bands in actions, and what will they be riding into battle on?October 13, 2014 at 9:49 pm #42875BriggsParticipant
Can I just be the cannibalistic Briggs Band? I’ll be the hive mind. I slowly went more insane and drilled a hole in my head and wiring my head together with the other Briggs with protonpacks.October 13, 2014 at 10:34 pm #42877
Sorry Briggs that won’t work, I may have to stop you.October 14, 2014 at 1:25 am #42880Thunder the M.Participant
This I say as a huge fan:
Sometimes I’m amazed Briggs has survived as long as he has.October 14, 2014 at 5:16 am #42885
Maybe Briggs is channeling Chair
Or is a chosen one for a road warrior style God waiting for Briggs to lead the cannibal hordesOctober 14, 2014 at 5:46 am #42886Citizen StuParticipant
This is amazing. Do you guys ship to Europe? I’m thinking of starting an Amsterdam franchise.
Talking about new equipment; are you guys also pulling stuff from The Real Ghostbusters and/or Extreme Ghostsbusters? Do you consider them canon? If so things like the ghost beacon come to mind.

@citizen-stu, I think @cap can answer if we ship international or not. As far as the other equipment goes? We don’t consider the cartoons to be canon, but the equipment can certainly be used. I even put the Ghost Beacon on their “shopping list” in Season 1, but they never bothered to buy it. Several other good things are on that list too. Proton Bomb. A Spectral Glove (like a PKE meter/Power Glove combo that frees up an extra hand/equipment slot). But yeah, I’d love to expand the deck and include some special items from everywhere.
A Question of the GB franchises: “Would you Doug allow more than one Franchise per city to be considered cannon, like say in Orlando? I know this is a stupid question but if i were to start another Orlando Franchise i wouldn’t want to overload that happenings of an area that your team has been dealing with.”
(Did that question make sense?)
@pseery80, I’d allow new franchises to become “canon” only if they wanted to. For example: let’s say you want to make your own Orlando Ghostbusting team. One that has nothing to do with GBR. If you weren’t “canon” then the sky is the limit! Go nuts! Make your own version of what “really happened” after Ghostbusters II. You don’t need to follow our story. But if you want to play in the same “universe” of GBR, we’ll accept you! It’s just our own little way of keeping our fans close. What better way than to invite you to “share the adventure” with us? 😉

@citizen-stu Yup! We ship internationally! Canada, Netherlands, and Australia so far… Obviously, the rates aren’t great, but that’s not for us to decide.October 14, 2014 at 4:09 pm #42900
As long as it won’t be in the way I am for it
in regards to new equipment will they be released when you have gathered or created a certain number of them or will they be released when ever you have something?October 14, 2014 at 4:22 pm #42902
Honestly, I think a one Franchise per city policy is best, unless you have an event necessitating multiple franchises (like a hellmouth) in the same city or if the city is big enough to support multiple franchises (which I’m not sure Orlando is, but I don’t live there). Heck, the only reason the Carolinas aren’t covered by a single branch in Charlotte in my game is because a mysterious local benefactor buys franchise rights.
