So just listed to the micro-sode and I was entertained. I do have a small problem though. Such a topic has great comment potential that I wished the show hosts gave a little more time coming up with topics before signing on.
Again, was a blast to listen to and I get how spur comments are usually the cleverest. I just thought the topic deserved more collaboration before recording

@pseery80 We had a bunch of hosts together and a box of Japanese sweets so it seemed like a good time to do a micro – it was really spontaneous. We can certainly spin this out into a rousing forum conversation and keep things going. What’s your bid for a must-see sequel, dude?

    Movies what need sequels:
Dagon: What happens when they swim to the undersea temple of doom?
Tales From The Crypt – Demon Knight: What happened to the flask (and its caretaker) between the end of the movie and Bordello of Blood?
Tropic Thunder: Do I really need to explain this one?
Cabin in the Woods: Ok ancient ones, you’re back, you’ve got domain over the… everything again. So now what?
A fourth Reanimator movie: House of Reanimator sounds stupid to me, I want a story that stays true to Lovecraftian lore and finally shows Herbert West getting his.
Willow: We all want more from this world
The Incredibles: Such an awesome movie, I want more stories with these characters!

And finally, I know this doesn’t technically count as a sequel, but I don’t care. Hey Disney, make a fucking Darkwing Duck movie!

I wish Bakshi had been able to make an animated conclusion to his Lord of the Rings cartoon instead of Rankin & Bass.

Holy shit, how did we not think of The Incredibles?

I attribute the lack of focus in this episode to the fact that we were all a little tired and were invested in munching down on those snacks. Not a very good excuse, I know.

I would add Willow and John Carter of Mars. Also I really want a second season of Princess Jellyfish even if it isn’t a movie.

I am glad everyone enjoyed the snacks, and the setting was handled well. Kit-kats are the only American snack food based on sharing. So it fits that many people were present. (FYI chocolate in Japan is different because they put about 50% of the sugar in any of their sweets compared to American food.)

For movie sequels I’d vote for the Incredibles 2 also. It has been rumored and suggested for years despite Pixar’s old refusals to do any sequels.
If it wasn’t for Disney, they would never do a sequel for any of their movies. Pixar’s reasoning is that any sequel should be just as good or better than the original. The scripts and stories changed several times for Toy Story 2 and 3 before production. Luckily it all ended up in the right hands.
Does anyone know who has the executive rights to Incredibles? Pixar has been bought and sold several times, and I want to think Pixar has the rights to Incredibles while the movies with current sequels/prequels belong to Disney. Maybe Monster Inc is the exception.

I would like to see a sequel to Dark Shadows also. It had some wonky bits, but was still fun.

The thing about Incredibles 2 is that after years of uncertainty it’s 100% confirmed. Without a doubt it’s a movie that needs a sequel and we’re getting one written by Brad Bird so… we’ll be a-okay!

Dark Shadows was pretty fun. The original series was mostly on Netflix Instant awhile ago, I’m not entirely sure it still is. It was a lot of fun, and went off the rails into crazy town pretty quickly.

There was a distinct lack of push for Jumper, John Carter of Mars, Rise of the Guardians, a good sequel to Starship Troopers, The Green Hornet, The Lone Ranger, Super Mario Bros. & TMNT(2007). And there should definitely be a sequel to Dark Shadows as well!

I’d love another Ninja Assassin and another live action Speed Racer.

Those were great movies too. Especially Ninja Assassin. I’d love to see more installments of them.

I Agree with jumper. Speed racer was fine as a one shot. I would be scared what they would do to a sequel. I liked ninja assassin but I can’t see him killing anyone else after destroying his clan.

I am for a second John carter just not a guardians.

the second starship troopers had a good main character that i want to see more of. And if u haven’t seen the animated movie, the only downside was the acting.

I want to see them try to pull off The Mammoth Car in live action, but I too feel pessimistic about maintaining the quality. Ninja Assassin would be so easy to continue, there are always other ninjas that need to catch a throwing star to the face.
