@doug I can get behind that scale

    that does clear it up

It's about "SHOW TIME" so drop by

On the “next” episode all about Glampire – I keep on thinking about his backstory like Ice King in Adventure Time and some of the things could be explored in later seasons maybe even in a people thinking what could of happened in a fake clip show type format Think “Almost Got ‘Im” from batman TAS or more accurately 200 from Stargate SG-1 where their ideas about Glampire before the fall of the masters are completely out there and in the actually an animated series version a chance for experimental animation.

I say this is the only point in the series where we will literally see a Glampire music video (because that is the only thing Wolfman knows.)

    Percy Bysshe Shelley, 1792 – 1822

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: “Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
‘My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!’
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

This poem is in the public domain.

Part of your discussion brought this to my mind, I just wanted to share.

@shaded-spriter That Stargate clip is brilliant! I’ve never seen that before. Depending on how long we sit on Glampire’s origins in the show there’s room for all kinds of stuff like this. Great suggestions!

Ozymandias is a great touchstone for ancient Glampire vibes. Hand’ crossed my mind! Thanks!

Glampire Ep was very, very fun. Glad GP has a skill set now. The glamour ability does strike me as a bit overpowered, at least in its current form. Particularly, can it operate passively without Glampire’s focus? And how fast will allegiance manifest if he Reeeeeally kicks it up? I just don’t want his powers to make it hard to write out of a situation like a Lightning Dog being kidnapped (dog-napped? Kid-napped? Ha.) I would think that puts a giant countdown timer on getting them out of there before Glampire starts getting his answers. When would the pack even become aware of that ability, if ever?
    Again, fantastic episode.

@cap, at one point you off-handedly mentioned Glampire’s “lobotomizing goo,” and it got me thinking about those weird old Masters of the Universe goo-based playsets. If you had to put a qualifier on it, roughly how goo-based would you say Glampire’s tech paradigm ought to be?

I want to add on to @tehmsu ‘s question.
What is the vector of which Glampire’s thrall power might take hold, is it a pheromone or some kind of psionic ability?

It's about "SHOW TIME" so drop by

Perfect opportunity for Mood Slime if you ask me…

Imagine an effect where Glampire emits some goo from his hand on like the back of your neck, and as he pulls it away it solidifies into a crystal-like protrusion or cluster he can use to influence you. It could be the first stages in going full-on Diamond Dog:
    Some merging of this:

    with this:
    crystal face

You can have people touched by it said to have “glampire’s kiss” or something along those lines. Give it a distinctive shape, like the Uruk Hai in LoTR and thier Hand of Saruman not-braveheart facepaint

@maxacree I said the words “lobotomizing goo”? Christ that must’ve been such a passing mention even *I* don’t remember it, nor do I have it written down anywhere, so I haven’t given it any thought… BUT goo/ mutagen/ slime etc is such a hallmark of what we’re doing that YES the more slime stuff the merrier and I’m very much on board with the prospect of it being a contact-based high (at least predominantly). His glamor projecting in some kind of radius, however small, is a moment I wouldn’t want to loose. I love the idea of a crystallization, or a glittery visualization of some kind. That’s kind of like how they’re showing Eclypso possession these days (See Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad) – but cooler.

So to tentatively elaborate on @tehmsu and @thebigbadshadowman’s questions… this isn’t a final answer but a small area of effect seems reasonable because, yeah – I still have concerns about the need to restrict information from him and if this power was too good then the Diamond Dogs situation becomes needlessly complicated.

And as far as goo and Glampire… I don’t know that he specifically has any real proclivity for any goo stuff. But someone or someone(s) has goo stuff for sure.

@cap it was REAL off-handed, it just caught my ear, as these things sometimes do. I just left a tag in the soundcloud where you said it, in case anybody else wants to hear those words in that order, lol.

@maxacree Good timestamp usage! I remember this feel now. I was imagining a like vat of gel the DDs get dumped in and then it hardens on them in a horrifying fashion.

@Cap perhaps this goop is the same bodily fluids secreted by the glass spiders? Just collected en masse by Glampire for the purposes of “crystallizing” living beings that oppose him?

    Good points all around.

I’m wondering how important crystallizing enemies should be – or how frequently it should be done, because I’d like for the Diamond Dogs to be relatively special. Like maybe they’re trials of some new tech.
