The D&D games and Final Fight are all pretty great.

    Question time

I know the Robots are a later thing in lightning dogs but I have to ask, How would you describe the Robot’s hierarchy if they have one? (are all the robots sentient or is only a few of their sentient and the rest drones?)

I would like to introduce the following terms into the robit lexicon, assuming Tony hasn’t already done so:

robotomy: when someone has a cyborg implant removed by force; alternatively punching the head off of a robot
robotanist: someone who studies robot plants (robot plants are a thing, right? right?)
    ro-boat: a sentient boat

I always imagined the robots acting as one super-intelligence. Many “bodies” but all connected to one “brain.” Maybe a couple here and there are individuals. I don’t know. We’d have to think about it some more, but I guess they’re kinda like the Geth from Mass Effect, but way more understanding of human culture. They/it’d share a similar view of humans with the Lightning Dogs since they too were “created” by mankind and therefore feel a sense of “duty” to defeat Glampire. They’re kinda quiet and mysterious. Perhaps they see the world in “black and white” absolutes, but at the end of the day, they’re the good guys. Even if they don’t share the exact same views as the Lightning Dogs.

@maxacree It’s true, all of it.

Similar to what Doug said, I think there are assuredly some personalities among the bots, but they’re all interconnected in a way that present day humanity can’t quite relate to yet. They’re not a hive, but they all know each other all the time – deeply connected. There’s simple drones, but higher functioning bots have a unique personality.

    question time
here is a small one this week
You guys said you wanted Lightning Dogs to have old school lazer battles, I want to know if the lazers will come in more then one color and if so what determines the different colors?

I’m fairly certain they’ll come in different colors. The color will most likely be determined on the quality of the crystal involved. But I’m sure some wastelanders will have reverted back to gunpowder weapons. Just don’t know how soon we’ll see that.

In fact, just writing about it now, I’m already coming up with a few ideas on explaining the color variants. Will have to bring this up at the next meeting. 😎

When it comes to weaponry: if it’s cool, we’ll do it. Nothing is off the table. When you’re in a sci-fi firefight, having different colored lasers are important to knowing who’s who, so as Doug said – that’s a thing, but not a thing we’ve decided on yet who’s getting what color. While it might fall to the integrity of the crystal, it might also fall to the device amplifying the crystal’s energy into a beam. Given the need to visually distinguish between character factions, it’s likely to have something to do with that.

Projectile weapons of all kinds are in play among the wastelanders since so much of what they have is based on what they make or can scavenge. So… slugthrowers literal and figurative are both valid.

    Question time

With some of the Dogs powers would you guys say they might have limits to how often they can use it before straining them self, and if so are we going to see an episode about it

Another astute inquiry and something we haven’t really breached. I’ve always felt that for those of the LDs that have powers that aren’t just innate like Kane’s hearing, Narisa’s sight, or even Angela’s durability – I’ve always considered that they have an arbitrary physical limit, like a mutant (the Marvel kind). As in their power is a muscle and they’ll strain if they overexert themselves but they can do as much or as little as we care to write.

ok last week I was in a lot of pain and beside watching all of the new Voltorn in two days while off work because I was on pain meds, I thought why not spread the pain with some thing that might cause the Lightning Dogs pain.

so first off I did some fan art of Queen Lich since I love the idea of a mad scientist who’s greatest monster is her self. From what I picked up from Cap is that when she first shows up she’ll look pretty jacked up but start looking better and different every time she shows up again. So I did sketches of her in different stages in different outfits and showing off different powers, I gave he some power armor she might mod out.

next I have what I call Draugr who is a jason voorhees like slasher who is a big unrelenting almost unkillable monster that is an A.I. placed inside of a mask that can take control of a fresh corpse and pump it full of chemicals to make it’s self a new body. I’m a fan of the slasher that won’t stay dead, but I wanted to try a sci-fi take on some thing that is mostly a supernatural thing. I had the idea that it could reattach limbs if they fell off or attach new one if the old one is to messed up.

and last is Rose (a cross between a thorny Devil and a tarantula hawk wasp) and her pet Thorn or maybe Axl if you want to go the whole jojo’s bizarre adventure naming route. With Rose I wanted a freaky Two face thing and the idea of a character that has normal skeleton but has part of the body that it become an exoskeleton. And with Thorn I wanted something that could go tooth and claw with Beast Hound
