Yes. Flattered, but not convinced. If The Wolf’s appearance in Nerdy Show’s Multiverse episode was an “audition,” I’d feel like it was serviceable, but I’d keep looking.

Lets talk about Battle cries, with a lot of classic action cartoons the good guys had battle cry or two. With Lightning Dogs you guys have the whole “Lighting Dogs We never turn tail” and you do have a lot to work with a lot of dog puns for other ones. (side note I like “we roll over for no one”)
So the Question today is Will the baddies have their own battle cry? the reason I ask, is because in the only battle cries that a lot of the old action cartoons bad guys is “Bad guy team name” attack and “Bad guy team name” retreat.

Ha! The bad guy battle cry (and it’s myriad shortcomings) is a trope we hadn’t even considered! I guess the trick is it would need to be a group that feels somewhat organized and capable of revelry of some kind, where this sort of motivation would even apply. Best fit for that would be Jack’s gang. I don’t imagine it’d be anything overly formal, but maybe something flexible… like… “Skeleton Krew… let’s kick some skulls!” or “Skeleton Krew… let’s rattle some bones!”April 21, 2016 at 12:11 pm #52456
That is one of the things that 80’s cartoons didn’t have down. Thundercat’s mutants and Mum-Ra didn’t really have any either. I can definitely see Glampire commanding the Diamond Dogs to attack with “Diamond Dogs! Tear them asunder!”, or something of the like. I can totally imagine that in Cap’s David Bowie voice. Or “Diamond Dogs! Shred them to pieces!”, “Diamind Dogs! Fetch me their bones!” But definitely have something along those lines for Glampire commanding his most deadly minions.

Mum-Ra definitely had that mantra he’d chant when he’d do his magical girl transformation though. “Ancient spirits of evil blah blah”
Also there was this attempt, which is amazing:

with lightning dogs being in a futuristic post apocalyptic setting have you guys figured out what kind of future it was before it went to hell? (Was it a bright clean future or was it a dark, dirty, and crowded future) and what kind of futures in other fiction would you guys compare it pre apocalypse lightning dog’s earth to?

It was a pretty great future. Not a utopia by any means, but mankind was doing well on the whole. There’s a definite sense that everything could’ve worked out had it not been for the irreversible global catastrophe…
If I had to compare it to an other piece of pop culture… that’s tough. I’m thinking a lot of things that have the right vibe, but are still too underdeveloped and then the things that I think of that are developed enough are all somewhat dystopian. The best examples are all random pieces of sci-fi art from books and magazines. Stuff with the right vibe slides through the LD tumblr on occasion. Let’s say Minority Report and A.I.-ish, but more technologically developed infrastructures.April 28, 2016 at 10:56 am #52513
Ditto to what Cap said. I was even going to mention Minority Report, but also with a dash of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Here’s a question I was wondering,
Conservatively, how many hours of behind the scenes conversations do you have recorded?
Also, I think Doug’s Wolfman is spot on.May 3, 2016 at 2:05 pm #52585
Last I checked, we were over 30 hours. Adding more all the time.

I’m starting this a one day early now
with most new cars having a lot of computers in them today, will that be something that you guys might play with given the futuristic hot rods and muscle cars angle ?

I doubt any of Halloween Jack’s cars have computers built into them. When the Lightning Dogs first arrive, they’ll probably have some on-board navigation or other scientific equipment. But anything from the wasteland is most likely thrown together from junk. I don’t even think Glampire has access to what we’d recognize as a “computer.”May 3, 2016 at 8:55 pm #52596
