Not only is it a fantastic film, the process that Oedekerk used was rather fascinating. I mean, yeah, sure, it was just a lot of green screen and overdubbing, but the way that he pulled it off … just flawless. Any flaws seen were completely intended. Though I could have done without the cow. Sorry.

Both myself and the groups of friends I hung around with at the time absolutely loved this film when it came out, yet every person I met since then had either never heard of it, or hated it with a passion. Until I saw this topic I’d started to think that it was just the odd few that genuinely enjoyed it.
