While many of us fans are waiting for the third installment of the story of our button-pushing physicist, to the point of spawning memes about Gabe Newell being unable to count to three. Have you ever wanted to go back and play the original but felt the engine the game was made on was just too old? Half-Life:Source was an improvement, but the graphics were just a port? Nothing against the classic, but why cant someone revisit it with modern graphics?

Look no further, for the modding community is delivering! Black Mesa was recently added to Greenlight! It’s been a long wait, but aparently they are just about ready for release, and are using Greenlight to get it on Steam! And it needs your votes!

@Brandon Is this the first time you are hearing of this? I envy you! Most of us have been waiting 5 years for this!

I remember the “which will come out first” polls between Black Mesa and Duke Nukem Forever… Too bad despite materializing before BM, DNF was a flop.

I can still can’t believe this is finally (almost) here. I swear when I first heard about this I hadn’t even started uni yet. It’ll be great to finally go back and relive those exciting moments again. Pushing carts, exploding pies, turning off light switches, fun times for all really. Might even play some of the game as well.

I’ve waited so many years for this day. This… this is beautiful. I promised myself I wouldn’t cry.

    So I won’t. A promise is a promise, and I never break a promise.

Despite what my username says, I am certifiably flawless.
