ParticipantAlright now for main entry. This thing is huge. One of the biggest things I’ve built on this server. Over 295k blocks went into this build. I will have to thank Kaosubaloo, if he didn’t post his Stargate build early this would have never been built. The original build was just the Test rooms of the enrichment center. After Kaos I stepped it up a notch by building a Music Box of Still Alive to go at the end of the ride. I built this in Single Player after I used a Noteblock Tuner program that give me a list of how many times to hit a noteblock, what to place it on, and what tick the redstone repeater needs to be on. After I finished that I gave it to Jon as a schematic and he imported it into the world. I decided to add an Apeture Science logo into the build followed by putting Glados into it. I used the potato Glados which was the most enjoyable part of Portal 2. Then everyone who finishes the ride gets some cake…. maybe. So here are the pictures of the build. Expect a video soon.
This is the front of the cube. It goes from Ground level all the way to the top of the world. Sadly it makes it 3 meters short of being a perfect cube.
This is a scale comparison. I used POV 93 for this image and the rest of the images. As you can see it’s big compared to this random island structure.
This is the beginning of the ride. The two treasure chests next to the start hold carts and night vision potions. You need both.
The entrance to Test Chamber 1
I used a Portal Texture Pack and got signs to put up in this room
Some More Pictures and a view through a Portal
This is a view of the room while standing next to the first portal
After going through the portal your now on the other side. Thinking with Portals.
If you look up you can see the exit of the portal in front of you. I used the Multiplayer portal colors for this ride.
And you can see the green portal below when you come out of the portal. He touched my balls alot.

When you look up you see the exit of a Portal on the ceiling and a Hard Light Bridge.
When you fall through the Portal in the floor you land on the Hard Light Bridge see the Portal on the ground.
At the end of the bridge is an Orange Portal. Through a small crack in the wall you can see the red portal with a Hard Light Bridge going through the Portal.
See the other portal through the crack now.
The last test chamber is an easy one. Looking to the left you can see Aperture written on the wall.
Guess I broke some glass, oops. But as you can see the blue and green portals on the right repeat a couple of times. And the Aperture on the walls on your left.
This is at the end of the hallway, if you look to the left you can “see” through the portal and see the Hallway again. Sadly I cannot figure out a way to let you see yourself on the rails.
And look the end of the E and the glass you just passed. He touched my balls alot.

Once you get through all the rooms your greeted with the music box. This thing is huge, spent most of my work trip to Vegas building this thing.Wow that’s a long post.

Z -1621This is the location of the island in the second picture. Swim to the other side to find the platform that leads to the entrance. I will build a platform soon

ParticipantI went ahead and moved this into the correct Forum for you as presumably you had intended it to be an actual entry into the buildathon.

ParticipantWelp.
Guess I’ll half to settle for second place again.
Oh, and as an aside, what did you use to record Minecraft? I think I mentioned this in my own topic but my usual recording program hates Minecraft with a passion, so I’m very interested in finding something that works better for it.
Guess who, it's Kaosubaloo!

ParticipantI used Fraps. It worked out well. I only recorded at half quality. The video took up 2.45 gbs of data. It worked out really well this time.

ParticipantWent for the ride and I guess a creeper spawned on somebody, as a crucial part of the track dropped me off and now I’m stuck in the bottom half of the room and the only exits lead outside.
Eep.
