Just finished listening to this today, and loved it. You can’t go wrong with Mojo Nixon, or the Dead Milkmen, two of my favorite bands. And boy did Kristy MacColl nail the southern drawl in “There’s a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis”, I would have sworn that was some southern 90’s college rock band. My only complaint would be it didn’t contain enough El Vez….
@bertoelcon: Thanks! I wasn’t sure how this one would be received, but all of the praise has me much more excited to do more themed episodes in the future.
@zombiepops: El Vez would have fit in nicely, but unfortunately, I don’t have anything by him at my disposal, and… well, I didn’t want to drag the episode out too long. Sacrifices have to be made somewhere along the line. But man, oh man, you’re dead on about Kirsty. There’s pretty much nothing that wonderful lady couldn’t do!
