I never played this series, because DLC’s and the Great Satan. But, I guess I’ll get it if it’s free. Thought I’d let you guys know about that.
(I’m sure this is some stripped-plain version where I have to buy 50€ worth of dlc’s to get any gameplay content, but its free so I’ll get that much.)(Edit: Good thing I didn’t pay for this.)

ParticipantI gave it a try, but wasn’t too impressed. Also, I think the offer has expired if you didn’t already sign up for it.
The game kinda felt like Neverwinter Nights (2), it had equally painfully boring story (7 hour segments of talking to peasants about the latest developments in the potato industry, your dumb family history and the like). Of course, the graphics are better, but there’s no multiplayer, no cool 3.5 D&D system, only 3 frigging classes and no Nerdy Show voicesets, so why bother?

ParticipantDamn u @M. Now all I can think about is that game with the D&D cast. Speaking of which, did you really have a pet peave with them and crunching the doritos on air and after mentioning it to them did you suspect they will continually give you a crunch off salute?

ParticipantWhining about the crunching was my first post on Nerdy Show page, before I joined the forums or anything, and since it demanded you to have a handle I wrote “M” just to put something in the field. I didn’t expect them to react to it at all, actually, though if you whine to someone “I don’t like you doing X” then what’s the most obvious reaction? And yeah, Nerdy Show has some serious level of audience engagement, which is why you often hear them bringing up listeners by name in the podcasts.
As for NWN2, I quite like it, I have a running game with my wife right now. I play somewhat addled human wizard who has a tendency to ramble on incoherrently about unrelated franchises and blanket the game area with massive spells hitting friend and foe alike.

ParticipantDragon Age for free? You should still ask for your money back.
I’m glad you had better judgement than me M and quit playing after a while.I need to get that NWN2 mod someday.
Sailin' about port to port, Smokin' 'em out fort by fort,
Stealin' their loot ton by ton, Takin' their ships one by one.October 18, 2014 at 5:23 pm #43020M
ParticipantThe voice mod kinda fits since its D&D game. Of course the game itself is old but there is a lot of player made adventures for it since game with pretty good toolset and the ruleset is extensive. I didn’t play Dragon Age super far, but.. from what I could gather it’s basically The Witcher ripoff with DLC’s right?
