This is a really awesome game I’ve been keeping my eye on for a while and it just released. Its called Antichamber(originally Hazard: Journey into Dreams). It is definitely worth taking a look at. I find it rather difficult to describe. I guess you can think of it as a sort of puzzle game where the puzzles are metaphors for life. The game is designed to mess with your head a bit, and it does a wonderful job of doing so. A friend of mine described it as Myst meets Portal for a shrooms date.

its on sale through febuary 6th for 14.99. If you are looking for something interesting, its well worth looking at.

There’s really not that much of an emphasis on the skills applied in the puzzles translating to life skills. It’s just a puzzle game that was incorrectly described by everyone who previewed it as being based around Non-Euclidian Geometry, which it isn’t.

Really, just think of it as a Quantum Puzzle Game; the mere observation of and interaction with most of the rooms in the game change their nature. It’s not that hard to describe.

I recorded the first 20 minutes or so when I played yesterday.

I then proceeded to play it for another five hours. It’s absolutely amazing; one of the nicest endings I’ve seen in a videogame in years.

    That looks flipping awesome.
