Frustrating. Got signed out and lost my post. Second try… EDIT: Success!

Anyone else read What the Birds Know? It’s actually really good, and heavily cliff-hangery with art that is gorgeous and painfully detailed. They’re also kind of asking for more readers, and, after ten years, I figured, “Yeah, more people should know about it.”

That said, their website url is, unfortunately, rather strange and hard to remember. That might have something to do with it.

In addition to that one, I read:

    Weregeek
    Goblins
    Gastrophobia
    Gunnerkrigg Court
    Friendship is Dragons
    Order of the Stick
    Erfworld
    Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Comic
    Rusty and Co.
    Darths & Droids
Dr. McNinja (this one’s ending, soon!)
    Schlock Mercenary
    Sluggy Freelance
    Captain SNES
    XKCD (and the What-If… spin-off)
    Manly Guys Doing Manly Things
    Avengers: Roll for Initiative!
    Kill Six Billion Demons

Although I’ve checked it often enough, considering No Rest For the Wicked has not updated in two years, I’m presuming that (at present) it’s dead.

Those are my most consistent reads. Occasionally, I’ll go for The Wotch or some other comic that doesn’t update much anymore, or a few who do that I just don’t follow as faithfully, but those are (obviously) more rare on my “check ’em” list.

EDIT: For clarity and to add two I’d lost in remaking the post

    That… that… falling… <i>thing</i>… รต.O?

It… it looks kind of like an “X” or maybe a vaguely half-humanoid shape. <s>Could it be his jacket?</s> Nope. He’s still wearing it.

Uh, nevermind. Apparently it’s his blaster?

EDIT: BLARGL! I always forget how this forums works! I… I don’t know how to do what I was trying to do up there. My old links that told me don’t work anymore. >.<

The answer seems more speculative than anything else to me. The item is too large, relative to the other nearby things, and I don’t really buy the explanation.

If anything else, I’d just guess it was a piece of debris – trash – to display just how “in a bad way” Luke really was – he was literally thrown away with the trash, where no one ever checks.

This was AWESOME! Very well done!

So how much did the players know of the situation before going into the game? How much meta was used to enhanced the story?

Also: the most loyal of Lefty’s crew have now been killed, leaving only the most weak-willed, cowardly, and/or self-serving. ๐Ÿ™

I didn’t know what this was going in (and was somewhat confused at first), but as soon as Christopher was mentioned, I knew what was going on (more or less). Very well put-together thing. (It helps that I pulled something similar, although somewhat different and less blatant, with my own players once.) Great story, well executed.

    10 minutes in…

Oh my word! Mentioned on D&D! Again!

    O.O

    hashtag nerding-out-forever!

Glad you enjoyed the terrible fan art!

… and it looks far more awful scanned than it did in real life!

… which is extraordinary, as it looked terrible in real life! XD

(And ugh, those eyes. I really wish I could redo it, but… it’d probably be just as bad. ;D)

I can’t believe that Lefty now has a feather in her cap, just because of that hideous picture!
    Woo!
    ๐Ÿ˜€

The offer still stands, by the way, if you’re ever in Ocala!

EDIT: Oh, how awesome! That ending! Or rather, both of them! Pre- and Post-Galdap!
EDIT 2: To clarify a sentence that used confusing syntax.

@Cap: fair ‘nough! Good to know.

@Armadon: Oh, man. I’ve no idea.

I am thoroughly sad that <Redacted> in the next episode (which I’ve now heard up to 1.5 hours).

Otherwise, I just… like the B-Team! All of ’em!

As a character, I think that Krath is, kind of coincidentally, the ‘Vimak’ of the group – not because he’s a Goliath, but because he’s the moral compass (most of the time).

Izzy is far too adorable for her own good.

Ryll is a perfect rogue, and surprisingly loyal to her friends, and surprisingly moral… well, sometimes.

Deen is… excellent prat-fall-style comic relief.

Every time I try to narrow it down, one of the alternates comes up, and I like them.

Of them, I think that Ryll… maaaayyy… be… my… favorite? …, though Izzy’s abilities and play style is great.

I’ve a question: did Hex remove himself from Dungeons & Doritos?
(I can see all sorts of reasons, from life or anything else, but Vimak kind of vanishes from the episode previews, so I was curious.)

Having listened to the episode a 2nd time, though, Iโ€™m a bit confused with the groupโ€™s relationship with Deen. At the end of the last episode, it sounded like they all knew him (Ryllatrix said something about feeling unclean when he looked at her, or something like that). At the beginning of this episode, though, she and Izzy sounded like they had never met, or knew him mostly through reputation (ie, โ€œAre you SURE this is the guy we need?โ€). Deen definitely seemed to remember Ryllatrix, though, so Iโ€™m not sure what to make of that.

Two years later, I can put input! To me, the “Are you SURE this is the guy we need?” came off substantially more as Ryllatrix really, really didn’t want to rescue Deen. The rest of the dialogue seems to back this up.

That said, Cap’s idea sounds pretty sweet…

This makes me exceedingly happy, especially since this was his last Album.

(He’s stated that he’s going to focus on singles rather than Albums, I believe.)

It’s awesome to go out on a high note. ๐Ÿ˜€

    Thanks, guys!

Glad to have helped, Cap, however minor. ๐Ÿ˜€

Your show (Nerdy Show, D&D, etc.) is something I’ve loved, but being a stay-at-home means less time for this kind of thing than a full-time employee, I’ve found.

I’m more or less splurging, grabbing as much as possible between now (when my son is at school: he’s THREE! ARG! WHEN?! HOW?!?) and when my next baby is going to be born this November.

You guys are still rocking. ๐Ÿ˜€

    EDIT: Awesome fan art!

Only part way through the episode, but the new group is pretty awesome!

Just a quick check to clarify, as it’s been a long time, and I lack too much time to go check, but…

… didn’t the ‘Man in Black’ control the gnolls in the first place?

I seemed to recall that he sic’d them onto the wizard’s tower in the first place.

EDIT: I could be wrong, but that’s what I recall learning the first time they ran into the tower.

Cool, thanks – I don’t believe it did, however I didn’t know if my password or other information was somewhere in my archives. My only point was if someone did something weird with my account here based on finding information in my email – I don’t think they could, but I’m being extra super overly-cautious, as I simply don’t know for absotively positively no-questions 100% sure. Only, like, 95.3%, give or take a 4% margin of error.

It looks like nothing came of it, honestly, which is good. I’ve changed all my passwords already, and the only things they tried to send (attachments of some sort to addresses I don’t know) all failed. So, good news all-round, really.

In any event, nothing else has occurred since then.

Also, thanks for moving this. I rarely know where things go ’round here. ๐Ÿ™‚

EDIT: Unrelated, but: huh, my links in my signature no longer work. I’ll have to look into that.
