Sad but true: I wasn’t allowed to watch Ninja Turtles when I was a kid. My mom thought it was too violent.

So I went outside and played Jurassic Park with my toy dinosaurs instead. They would hunt and eat eachother. Somehow that was much more acceptable.

I don’t think the comic team really concerned itself with EGB very much, beyond the visual references to items and gear. The roles they gave to Kylie and Eduardo could really have been filled by anyone. Kylie in the show was 18, reckless, curious, and deeply troubled. Kylie in the comic book is in her early 20s.
