    @cap I’m a bit of a completionist.
What if there is a crossover arc? Cap gets his Flame On, WolfBear haunts Ghostbusters, chaos! Then it’ll be like “continued on that other publication” and when I move over it’s a nerd shock “I don’t know every character’s backstory for the last 80 years!”.

Thanks you Armadon / @pseery80 and @Cap for the replies!

We’ve got some plans coming together now. Wednesday (any time) or Thursday (lunch) are the best times for us. Friday we will be in St. Augustine, and Saturday we will be traveling back home. I can also potentially make it to something Thursday night, but my wife won’t be able to hang out…[Read more]

@cap cool I’ve always imagined she would have two personality, one being very regal and the other one being full on Mad scientist which that personality I imagine having the Drive of Dr. Frankenstein from the 1931 movie, the goals of Dr. moreau, the madness of Claude Rains take of the invisible man, and with the twisted humor of Dracula from the…[Read more]

@maxacree @cap You have talked about the team going around the world and meeting others, specifically? Japan. Do the inhabitants have vehicles as well and if they do, will they be styled like 80s vehicles of the region?

  • @Cap that is what I was hoping to hear, mostly because that gives the Lightning Dogs something to strike at would also be a blow to Glampire with having to be face to face with him.

also this has been making the laps on my facebook so I’ll share it

There was some unsanctioned Cap’n Scrap stuff in Inktober as well; this first one is sort of the land-going salvaging vehicle/city that @Cap was describing in his flotilla explanation

    #Inktober Day 23: "Slow" by Max. #Inktober2016 #HowlNoise

A post shared by Lightning Dogs (@lightningdogsofficial) on

And an alternate take on the actual character, with a roll cage/roof rack bolted on to his…[Read more]

  • @cap that would be the best reason to have different styles of robot designs

  • Kishaan replied to the topic LIGHTNING DOGS! in the forum Lightning Dogs 5 years, 2 months ago

@cap What about robots made from scrap? It would kind of feed into the mind set that you brought up in the podcast.

  • Kishaan replied to the topic LIGHTNING DOGS! in the forum Lightning Dogs 5 years, 2 months ago

@cap do you have any designs on the ship yet? Seeing as it’s a scrapping ship, I assume it has a dredging arm but if it’s an ocean, that’s gonna have to be a huge arm. Submersibles would make the operation more efficient.

  • Doug replied to the topic LIGHTNING DOGS! in the forum Lightning Dogs 5 years, 2 months ago

Y’know… I don’t think we ever decided on the name of his ship. And he could have his own flag, but I think we always assumed it was a Jolly Roger. Maybe with a turtle skull on it? Either way, we’ve got another chance for a badass t-shirt.

Hey @Cap, could maybe Scrap get his “jolly roger” flag from Kid? Like she throws out her shirt because it’s…[Read more]

Nice. It’s great to hear you guys are on top of these things. In the back of my head I know you’re putting a lot more thought into this than even what we hear in the brainstorming sessions, and that since there’s such a huge gap between when sessions were recorded and when they actually air that there’s a lot we the audience just don’t…[Read more]

  • It’s good that Narissa got some attention, she was sort of in the background in the earlier episodes. Can’t wait to hear her backstory.

@cap On my earlier question, I see what you mean about the Kryptonite comparison, I was mainly thinking natural color variations, like in quartz. I think the main thing I wanted to know is if there would be a way…[Read more]

  • @Cap I had a dumb idea what if one Scrap’s crew was a blob fish thing, where he look scary and mean but as soon as he gets out of the water he become a fat blob with a droopy voice.

@kishaan: When we talk about “active aero” in the context of cars, it means basically adjustable downforce (less when going in a straight line, more when cornering) or air brakes (flaps that open under hard braking to work like drag parachutes). The closest thing we have right now to a real morphing vehicle in the current batch of designs is a…[Read more]

    Actually @kyle, interesting story:

@Cap probably doesn’t remember, but after Season One of GBR ended, I pitched several other ideas for RPG podcasts. One of them was going to be based on a Jurassic Park tabletop game designed by me called “Jurassic Park: Survival.” Ultimately we decided GBR needed a second season. But as part of my pitch, I made…[Read more]
