You can either Back a Roleplaying Campaign you want to see or you can Create a Roleplaying Campaign for a forthcoming episode – if your campaign wins, you even get to voice to an NPC on the show! See our first fan campaign episode, “‘Til Death Do Us Part” for an example of what you can do!

Step 1: Browse the current list of campaigns in the bar on the left of the screen or on the forums.

Step 2: Donate to the Network! Just let us know which campaign you’d like. Donate to as many campaigns as you’d like as many times as you’d like!

Step 1: Come up with a cool adventure and a snappy name for it! Read the instructions below or on the forum to get the details on what goes into a campaign.

Step 2: Make a posting on the forum and share your campaign! [Post only in the D&D Support Drive forum, please]

Step 3: Donate to the Network!

Step 4: Spread the word! The best way to make sure your campaign wins is to get others to back it.  Share it where you can and keep the conversation going on the forums.

QUESTIONS BEFORE POSTING A CAMPAIGN? No problemo! Just be sure to read this page first (there’s an F.A.Q. below).  If your question isn’t answered, reply to this Support Drive’s thread on the forums.  Or, if you’d prefer to message us in private, e-mail with “D&D drive” in the subject and ask away!

WHAT MAKES A CAMPAIGN PITCH? These campaigns are for stand-alone, monster-of-the-week style episodes. Well, there doesn’t have to be a monster, but it’s a one-off episode. Essentially, you create a setting and conflict for our characters to endure with as many or as few details as you like.  Campaigns should be at least a paragraph and include a snappy episode title. The title is very important as that’s what people will see and inspire them to read your pitch and potentially back your campaign.  Please be sure that your campaign fits within D&D‘s medieval fantasy setting. When submitting a system please take into consideration a premise that is fun and entertaining – It can be funny, it can be serious, just make it awesome!

HOW TO WIN: All contributions to a campaign stack and donors are credited to which campaign they’re sponsoring. If you really want a campaign to win, we encourage talking up your pick in the forums.

CURRENT BIDS & TIE-BREAKERS: Current campaigns are displayed prominently on the right side of the page and all active bids are shown above. Every campaign and all backers will be logged on THIS page. In the event of a tie during or at the end of the drive, the contenders will be notified and the person willing to make the highest bid, chooses the final subject. However, crazy stuff can also happen – like that time two campaigns tied and agreed to be merged into one amalgamated plot.

ADAPTING THE CAMPAIGN: Our Game Master may need to modify the scenario to fit within the storyline he’s already working on, and you never know what the D&D crew will do when they play it. We reserve the right to change any aspects of the submitted campaign to better fit in with the Dungeons and Doritos universe and current plot threads, or to make the most entertaining show possible.

If I sponsor someone else’s topic, does that mean that I’ll get to voice an NPC too? No, to make it simpler, only the original bidder gets to contribute his or her voice to the episode. However, we’ll acknowledge your amazing contributions in the episode. However…

My campaign won, can I choose someone else to voice a character? Yes! If the winning bidder chooses, he or she can allow anyone else to participate in their stead. It could be another contributor, it could be a Nerdy Show host, it could be a friend.

I contributed quite a bit to a campaign, but am not the original poster – can I contribute ideas to the campaign pitch? The original campaign sponsor holds the cards. It’s fine to open up a dialogue with them if you’ve got a really good idea and if they like it, you can collaborate with them. Ultimately, they have the final say. Please keep all contact courteous.

Can I submit a campaign pitch from a previous D&D support drive? If the pitch has already won, no.  If the pitch didn’t win then, YES! However you must be the original poster of that campaign, or have their written permission.

WHY WE DO IT Your support is the only sure-fire way we can continue to run the Network! Without your support we can’t afford to produce the show. The response to these support drives has been outstanding and we’re really grateful. Thanks so much!

WHAT DOES THAT INITIAL GOAL OF $300 REPRESENT? That’s the roundabout total of monthly Nerdy Show expenses. Rent for studio space, server costs (hosting and Minecraft server), electricity, etc.

WHAT IF THE GOAL IS PASSED? Every dollar over our basic costs helps us do bigger and better projects and upgrades including site redesigns, new hardware, or costs for video production. After each met goal we’ll add in a new prize or perk.

WHAT DO I GET FOR SUPPORTING?  Every time our cumulative total breaks the hundred mark ($100, $200, and so on), the bidder responsible gets to choose the topic of a Nerdy Show Mircosode and which of our hosts will lead the discussion. Also every time you chip in to Nerdy Show you get an an e-mail filled with Nerdy Show Support Perks!

Receive them via e-mail for any contribution amount!

* Be sure to let us know your primary e-mail address if it’s not also your paypal address. Also, some e-mail hosts don’t like to accept as many attachments as we include. If the mail bounces we’ll contact you, but only at the address you’ve provided. Bonus perks are not instantaneous, we’ll get ‘em to you as soon as we can!

MICROSODE ETIQUETTE: Nerdy Show also reserves the right to interpret microsode suggestions in any way they see fit to create the most entertaining show. When submitting a topic please take into consideration what would make for everyone having a fun time. Also, please use good judgement when suggesting a topic. There isn’t much we won’t talk about, but reserve the right to decline a topic. In that instance the support amount will be refunded.

Send any questions to or ask us on the forums!
