Mountain man Moses, Kenneth the gambler, and Oswald the hobo king, detecting some foul play (or was it horseplay?) have staged a mid-day break-in in hopes of some answers. Meanwhile, Estelle, Anjana, and Cherry set up a cheerful little picnic at the head of the drive, sharing occult follies and metaphysical memories, ready to sound the alarm in case trouble arrives.     Housed within the hallowed halls of the Miskatonic University library is one of the few known copies of The Necronomicon – a tome of the unknown – of death, and power. Seekers of arcane knowledge are drawn to it. So it should be no surprise that Estelle Thorpe’s path has led her here.

    While half of the troupe journey to the wilds of Essex, Ms. Thorpe is accompanied by gambler, Kenneth Roger, and good time girl, Cherry Featherbottom, to consult the impossibly rare book. A book which the late Charles Pell, presumed dead peddler of obscurities, had hoped to reference in his nefarious dealings. (more…)

An auction win of unusual items including an account a of a missing boy in the town of Essex and a map pointing to the woods in the West.

    While Ms. Thorpe follows a lead to Miskatonic University, her assistant Anjana, escorts war-worn mountain man, turned celebrated author, Moses Cubbenfield and self-styled “Hobo King” Oswald Sinclair to the place where X marks the spot. (more…)

    Will they be able to glean answers from the shadows looming over New England or will they succumb to the maddening call of the Terrible Secret of Lot X?
