  1. Introducing Omniverse – Nerdy Show’s Next Evolution Puts a Focus on Audio Fiction

For the past decade, The Nerdy Show Network has been a cult sensation in the podcast world. We pioneered the hybridization of roleplaying games and audio drama, brought listeners on some of the strangest audio journeys imaginable, and celebrated the media we love across every niche genre. Of all the projects we’ve worked on, our biggest successes have always been our original narrative programming, and as creators that work has always been the most fulfilling. Today we enter an exciting new era – putting our focus on audio fiction like never before. Introducing Omniverse. (more…)

  2. Lightning Dogs: The Official Paw’dcast – Out Now!

The time has finally come! Once again, The Lightning Dogs are unleashed! Back in 2013 we accidentally brainstormed a hybrid of all our favorite 80s and 90s cartoons and sci-fi during an episode of Nerdy Show. The result was a would-be animated series about anthropomorphic dogs from another world, trapped on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Armed with special powers and tearing through the Wasteland in their battle-ready vehicles, they combat the evil Glampire’s minions and keep his vampiric reach from extending to the stars.

Sounds pretty cool, right? Well, we weren’t the only ones who thought so. As soon as this episode came out, fans demanded more, and we found ourselves in the unique position of having captured the spark of an amazing idea at its birth, and the opportunity to document the entire journey. Journey to what? Why an actual animated series, of course.

Over the years we’ve recorded all of our sessions of character creation, world building, and general brainstorming of the LightningDogs universe, releasing some of them as episodes of Nerdy Show – but now we’ve launched Lightning Dogs: The Official Paw’dcast! We’ve re-released our original episodes in a new documentary format and in this on-going series we’re continuing to chronicle Lightning Dogs‘ creation every other Monday.

It’s a cinematic audio drama chronicling the castaways of downed starship, The Venture. They’re stranded on a hostile planet, struggling to remember who they are and how they arrived. It’s been a while since we’ve debuted new t-shirts here on Nerdy Show – years in fact! Well, we’re making up for lost time. How does nine new shirts sound?

Yes, fight off the cold and pesky crumbs in style! With these snazzy t-shirts you can rep your favorite podcasts while rocking amazing artwork, a slick logo, or a cool in-joke for folks in the know. How are we able to launch so many new shirts? Our old pals at Amazon launched a new program called Merch that offers super high-quality shirts printed on demand and sent directly to you. We were skeptical, but we checked them out and the quality of these prints is astounding.

So what’s new? We’ve got our geek amalgam Nerdy Show Network logo, two Friday Night Fanfiction designs, No Fangs, Lightning Dogs, shirts for every party member of Dungeons & Doritos with new art by Tony as well as his art from the episode “Run Away”, and an old school design Tony and Mike cooked up for PikaThor of the mighty Pokévengers! Plus for the first time ever we’re able to offer fem-cut shirts in addition to the unisex tees. Youth shirts too (it’s not advisable to let your kids listen to D&D). Check out all the new designs below or head to our new shirt page for the ever-growing catalog. (more…)
