Help Get Mega Ran’s Documentary to Amazon and Netflix!

Posted by Jess on November 4, 2014

Nerdy Show‘s favorite teacher/rapper/hero, co-host of Bits, Rhymes, and Life is back to Kickstarter seeking funding to bring the director’s cut of his documentary, Mega Lo Mania, to a television and film festival near you! And as a bonus treat, Mega Ran also plans to release a new full-length album in 2015. Backing this project gets you access to digital or physical copies of both the documentary and album, depending on pledge amount, obviously.

 From the press release:

Mega-Lo-Mania debuted in August 2014 with a sold out premiere in Phoenix, Arizona. The film chronicles Mega Ran’s tour with funk/soul band The Lo Classics across three states, and also touches on Mega Ran’s performance at the Penny Arcade Expo where he met Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune who enjoyed the show and gave Mega Ran words of encouragement. The Director’s Cut version of the film will clock in at nearly double the length and will include additional performance footage, more history on Mega Ran’s career, and commentary from his friends in the gaming industry. There are plans to hold a screening of the Director’s Cut at the thirteenth Music and Gaming Festival (MAGFest) to be held in National Harbor, Maryland in January 2015.

If you love Ran and K-Murdock’s slice of life nerd show here on Nerdy Show – this is like the movie version! You know you want it! Go go back the project here.
