Do you love Dungeons & Doritos? Do you want to support the show AND be a part of the mayhem? Now you can! Bid for a chance to help create a forthcoming campaign and add your voice and personal flair to an upcoming episode of D&D. See our first fan campaign episode, “‘Til Death Do Us Part” for an example of what you can do!

Step 1: Read the instructions below to find out how to pitch a campaign.

Step 2: Come up with a snappy concise title that sounds cool and will get people interested.

Step 3: $upport the show! Click here to go to the $upport page.

Step 4: Make a posting on the forums to give everyone the details of what your campaign is all about. [Post only in the above linked section]

HOW DO I PITCH AN EPISODE? We’re accepting pitches for stand-alone, monster-of-the-week style episodes. Well, there doesn’t have to be a monster, but it’s a one-off episode. It also has to conform to the D&D medieval fantasy setting. Essentially, you create a setting and conflict for our characters to endure with as many details as you care to include as well as information on the NPC character you’d like to portray in the episode. You can include as much detail as you like, but keep in mind that our Game Master will be adapting your scenario to fit within the storyline he’s already working on, and who can say what the D&D crew will do when they play it. We reserve the right to change any aspects of the submitted campaign to better fit in with the Dungeons and Doritos universe and the current plot threads.

Pitches should be at least a paragraph and include an EPISODE TITLE. The title is very important as that’s what people will see and inspire them to read your pitch and potentially back your campaign. To post your pitch for all to see post to the D&D Support Drive forum topic. Your support amount, episode title, and a link to your posting will be posted on this page.

Discuss this drive and ask any questions HERE.

HOW TO BID Click the red $upport link above, or click here to go to the $upport page. Enter your desired amount, tell us your handle, and link us to the forum posting with your campaign details! If you need more space, e-mail info@nerdyshow.com.

HOW DOES IT WORK? Well, it’s kind of like an auction. Multiple bids from the same individual will stack. Say Person #1 bids $15, then Person #2 bids $25 – making Person #2 the leader. But #1 wants it bad, and throws down an additional $30 – which stacks onto his or her previous bid making #1′s bid $45 and putting sir or madam back on top. Boosh!

SPONSORING A CAMPAIGN: If you like a campaign that someone else has posted you can back it and join in as a sponsor partner on that episode!  Just let us know which one you’re into in the comment field. Every campaign suggestion we receive will be logged on THIS page.

This means that if you want to donate and have an idea, but can’t afford to trump the current bidder all by yourself, you can place a bid, have your topic and amount logged, and if other prospective donors like your subject your modest sum may grow up to be KING!

QUESTIONS

Can I just support to voice a character and not make a campaign pitch? Yes, but you have to still have to have the highest bid.

If I sponsor someone else’s topic, does that mean that I’ll get to take part in the episode too? No, to make it simpler, only the original bidder gets to contribute his or her voice to the episode. However, we’ll acknowledge your amazing contributions in the episode.

My campaign won, can I choose someone else to voice a character? Yes! If the winning bidder chooses he or she can allow anyone else to participate in their stead, it could be another contributor, it could be a Nerdy Show host, it could be a friend.

I contributed quite a bit to a campaign, but am not the original poster – can I contribute ideas to the campaign pitch? The original campaign sponsor holds the cards. It’s fine to open up a dialogue with them if you’ve got a really good idea and if they like it, you can collaborate with them. Ultimately, they have the final say. Please keep all contact courteous.

Can I bid on a previous campaign pitch? If the pitch has already won, no.  If the pitch didn’t win then, YES!

BONUS PERKS Every time our monthly cumulative total breaks the hundred mark ($100, $200, and so on), the bidder is awarded a bonus perk! We’re still deciding what the bonus perk is for this month – check back soon! Also every bid gets you an e-mail filled with Nerdy Show Support Perks!

CURRENT BIDS & TIE-BREAKERS: Currently reigning sponsors are displayed prominently on the right side of the page and all active bids are shown above (original sponsors are underlined).  In the event of a tie during or at the end of the drive, the contenders will be notified and the person willing to make the higher bid, takes the win.

ETIQUETTE When submitting a campaign please take into consideration what would make for everyone having a fun time. Also, please use good judgement for what would fit within the world of Dungeons & Doritos. We reserve the right to decline a campaign. In that instance the support amount will be refunded.

WHY WE DO IT Your support is the only sure-fire way we can continue to do the show! As an explicit podcast most traditional advertising venues etc. are closed to us. Without your support we can’t afford to produce the show. The response to these support drives has been outstanding and we’re really grateful. Thanks so much gang!
