I just started listening to Dungeons and Doritos a few months ago and I just got caught up. I started listening to the other RPGs Nerdy Show has created but I can’t help but miss the D&D cast. I see that on the D&D page it says it will be back in 2016 but it is 2016 and I am just wondering. WHEN IS D&D COMING BACK!!!
@william Hey dude! Welcome to the fold! We don’t have a return date yet, but we’ll be back asap. Colin had a baby three months ago and not only is he Barty, but he’s also our primary sound designer. Leading up to and since then he’s had his hands full, but we’ve got two episodes in the can and a plan to come back on an even more frequent schedule. Soon as we know when we’ll put the word out! @cap thanks, and thanks for getting back to me so fast.Tell CoLin I said congratz. I can’t wait until you gus get back. I also had an idea for your next fan love contest first play reward. The person who wins should get to play a character in a d&d episode or special over Skype. I think that would be a great thing for the future.
We’re definitely overdue for a fan-love contest. We’ve actually done something like that twice in the past, but with voice roles for NPCs since coordinating tech and timing for someone new to guest on the show can be a complicated process. But it’s an idea that comes back around often and could happen someday.
@doritos If everything goes according to plan, Crunchmas will come early. And by “Crunchmas” I mean new episodes of D&D. And by “early” I mean before December. (No promise of actual Crunchmas references)
Seriously though, it’s been a year since the last episode of D&D and that’s just fucked up. 2016 has been a dumb year. Many, many good things but getting D&D set up to return and to do so on schedule has been an ordeal.
