Derpy Show isn’t dead, it’s just sleeping.

The short answer is that life is complicated.

The long answer includes a lot of personal details about the lives of a half dozen people, and Derpy Show’s lack of substantial monetary compensation that would be required for said people to devote enough time to release on a regular schedule. That said, it’s not really a money issue. Like a nearly defeated fairy, it’s possible that it could return stronger than ever if enough people believed in and started clapping for it.

As it is, there will be more to come, but it’ll unfortunately be less frequent. That’s about as specific as I can get, since I don’t even know more than that.

The good news is that I’m a major force in the main Nerdy Show podcast now, so perhaps that will help tide you over while you wait for the return of the Derp.

Been a listener on and off for a long time, finally have the resources to support you guys on a regular basis! Thanks to Brian Clevinger to introducing me to Nerdy Show back in ’09. I’m super excited to be able to help out, in whatever way I can to help you guys do what you love. 🙂

i would pay 25 per month for a year or a one time 300 payment if it meant i could be Skype’d in/or other internet thing on nerdy show once a year. just an idea

I sent a donation but I forgot to specify that it was intended as an even split between Nerdy Show and Lightning Dogs (if that’s possible). Of course, you’re free to put it towards whatever is most important – Doritos, haircuts, shark repellent, anti-personnel mines – y’know, basic necessities. I would love to support you guys on a regular basis but my bank flags Patreon and anything outside of the US as suspicious activity and it’s a colossal clusterfluff to get the transactions approved.
