KeymasterAs you’ve no doubt heard us mention, the Nerdy Show Network is now on Patreon! This is the beginning of a new chapter for us as we work towards becoming an even bigger and better creator of nerd entertainment content. Patreon enables us to work towards being able to reimburse our contributors for their time, ensure we’re able to keep up with our releases, and increase the frequency of some of our most popular shows like Dungeons & Doritos. For fans, it means that you can easily setup recurring monthly support payments and get access to a wide variety of cool Patreon exclusive support perks – stuff we’ve never offered before!
You can find us on Patreon @ http://www.patreon.com/nerdyshow!
If you’re just looking to continue one-time donations at your convenience, that’s cool too! Just head to http://nerdyshow.com/support!
And there’s ways to support the Network in your daily grind: shop on Amazon! If you do your Amazon shopping through our links, we get a percentage. All you need to do is follow our link to buy the stuff you were already going to buy and it gives back to the Network. For links to the US, UK, and Canadian stores go here!

ParticipantI like how you are doing it and looking at the two totals it looks like you have reached the support goal already.
One thing – The support page hasn’t been updated from the $300 basic running cost.

KeymasterActually, the tracker on the front page is the total for both the Patreon and solo donations.

Keymaster@shaded-spriter Yeah, it’s a bit confusing. We’re going to be wiping the bar from the front page pretty soon. I figured in the meantime I might as well put it to use. As Trench said, the total on the front page is actually this month’s total of our Patreon pledges plus the couple standalone donations we’ve had this month.
Thanks for the heads up about the support page! Lots of old things left that need to be updated.

ParticipantMaybe one perk could be, be a special on a nerd show network podcast.

KeymasterWell, we’re actually putting out a Pateron-exclusive episode this week (if that’s what you mean). We kept the mics on after this past SotE recording and I picked up a full episode’s worth of discussion on the new Terminator, Jurassic Park, and also my thoughts on how Howard the Duck fits into the Marvel cinematic universe. Wasn’t a planned thing at all so figured we’d release it as a special perk!

ParticipantWill that be sent to are emails?

KeymasterThe aforementioned Patreon-exclusive episode is up! It’s only available to Patreon backers, so join the party!
@cheifofstuff Now that we have Patreon, support perks are only sent by e-mail to people who do one-time donations. Everything else is logged in posts on Patreon to listen, view, and download. Under Activity we publish a monthly index of every perk and each of them can be found listed in the timeline under Creations. I recommend browsing Activity and hitting up the Support Perk list though, it’s well organized.January 18, 2015 at 8:12 pm #44993CheifOfStuff
ParticipantQuick question are the donations though patron tax deductible for the donators?

KeymasterNot to my knowledge, I strongly doubt that they are.
