For those that have yet to listen to the 2009 Final Boss episode, you can peep it here, but below is the list of the Top 20 Nerdy THINGS of 2009, according to the Nerdy Show crew.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the Final Boss of 2009! In this episode we unleash our list of the Top Twenty Nerdy THINGS of 2009, in a VERY specific order. Movies, video games, people, music, concepts- if it’s nerdy then we judged its worth. Listen in to find out what we thought were the best of the best. This episode is also the finale of Nerdy Show Season 2. We’ll be back sometime in January, so keep those RSS feeds warm and an eye on our twitter and facebook as we fine-tune and improve the Nerdy Show battle wagon. Thank you for listening and making this season out-freakin’-standing.
It’s the Nerdy Show Holiday Special, and in our very nerdy way, we’ve decided to have an homage to the cult classic Star Wars Holiday Special by celebrating the Wookie holiday, Life Day. Join us as we pervert any positive memories you may have had of this blessed season. We also give awesome reviews of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
Because we are obsessed with Atomic Robo, we couldn’t help but have ANOTHER show dedicated to the best ironclad science adventure in any and every universe. We have a touch of interviewing of Brian (which we normally do off the air and get the REAL juicy details about Robo!!) as well as finding out some secrets about what we’re getting in Volume Four!! Listen in or be lame!
In this expansion of the Nerdy Show Universe, we take a closer look at ignored, forgotten, and relatively overlooked games that are true gems. We’re also announcing our NEW COMPETITION!!
Craft hip hop beats from the score to Tetris Attack and the 1st place winner will have none-other than ASTRONAUTALIS lay his rhymes on it. Check out all detais here:
We also have chosen our first ever Fan Title Dungeons & Doritos Episode!! We’ll be recording it soon and posting it later this month!! Enjoy!
Also, we’ve had some complaints about the levels, how sometimes we’re really quiet and then randomly loud. Well, as last episode shows, we like to occasionally impersonate Sand People. We’re a rowdy bunch. Sadly, you’ll have to put up with our ridiculousness.
EDIT: Sorry about the VERY late posting of this. There were some INSANE technical issues involving reconstructing the episode. It would have been a LOT less effort to re-record it… but what we had was gold, so it was worth it. I’ve left the description intact as it was intended… so it may read weird. ENJOY!!
It’s almost Thanksgiving… and you know what that means… ZOMBIES!! Okay, we don’t talk about zombies A LOT, but it’s still a VERY nerderific show where we talk a lot about zombie video games, Brian’s neuroses, fixin’ racism, and the Nerdapalooza Live CD release. Listen in and prove us wrong!
This week, we discuss with Brian the dangers of drinking the water in Italy, the new video games (including a trial of the brand new Super Mario game, which apparently doesn’t suck), and interviewed I Fight Dragons. It’s a pretty crazy episode, so listen in
Thanks as always to Play n Trade for giving us our sneak peeks at video games!
Celebrating the chiptunes genre/movement (whichever you prefer to call it), the Nerdy Show team invites British chiptunes maestro, Pixelh8, on the show to give us his take on it. We also have the amazing return of the incomparable Brian Clevinger! We missed him so much!!
In this episode, we’re still recovering from our respective Halloweens and have a very spooky episode of Nerdy Show. There are talking dogs. We also finally give our full expose on the 2009 International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality that our sci-tech news guy, Jon West, attended. The practicality of virtual plate cats is discussed.
Also, in this episode, Cap gives a full review of Dragon Age: Origins, thanks to our sponsor, Play N Trade.
