When The Nerdy Show Network’s flagship podcast isn’t unloading on the latest geek news and happenings, we’re diving deep into super-specific discussions and interviews.

Prepare yourself for an ape apocalypse! If you’re on the fence about Kong: Skull Island like we were, this spoiler-free review will see you right. It’s a hard sell: a King Kong reboot set in the same universe as the 2014 Godzilla – hypothetically aiming for a crossover. We think we were right to be skeptical, but the results? Well, join Brandon and boR as they provide their reactions and takeaways… Let’s just say that, much like the characters of the film, they were surprised by what they found.

  • I am sad mostly because of a website call Nerdy Show doesn’t have someone who knows the crazy history of film’s oldest monsters, like how Kong has two japanese movies and one of them was King Kong vs Godzilla. Also john c reilly did say Kong was still grown. One last thing not to sound mean but I’m not a fan Brandon doing reviews he comes off disjointed with a lack info even for a spoiler-free review which makes it sound like he barely paid attention

If ever we did an all-King Kong episode, there would be research time invested into the series’ history and so on, but for an audio review of a new film, recorded immediately after a screening… surface-level impressions (with neuanced critiques when available) is the format.
